The Irishman
I don't know! That's how many.
He always carries two more guns that the rest.My guy isn't going to get a cool name like Sgt. Fang. He's going to be the Larry, the Viper that they've repeatedly talked to about dress code violations, but every time his response is "But have you seen these arms? I can't keep these from the world."
Yes, this is brilliant!I do think of the two Python Patrol Officers, who will never figure out who outranks who, as Rosencrantz and Guildenstern.
Is he really an improvement? I just compared the two side by side, took the exclusive out of my display to repack into the original packaging. Besides a slight change of shades of violet, he seems pretty much like the same figure to me. The new one’s hips are way more fluid, the old one’s hips are still clicky. But everything else looks the same. Never removed the accessories from the exclusive package, so I don’t know what those differences are, if any. Gotta dig that package out from storage still.Retro Mindbender also has the accentuated “eyeliner” and honestly it’s glorious. He’s an improvement in every way from the original release: the cape especially is MUCH improved, with better material and a looser fit around the arms so it doesn’t get stuck in the shoulder caps.
Thanks for this. I was just fiddling with my old copy and was going to ask if they improved the hips from the old aggressive-nub style. Tempting! I'm happy with the darker purple, gunmetal paint and vinyl cape of the old version, so I think I'll just stick with that one.The new one’s hips are way more fluid, the old one’s hips are still clicky.
Be careful with the old cape. Looks nice but stains the shoulders.+1 on thank-you for verifying the new one's hips are better. The old version I have basically can't do anything but stand up and I was hoping to just swap this new version in with all the bells and whistles from the deluxe version.
That screen grab really shows how great the original design for the Viper really was. I mean side-by-side there is no comparison. The original ARAH design just stands out more and looks better to me. I like the first release of the Viper, and the subsequent variants, but this new Retro version just seems miles better overall (again to me).

Looks great! I'm liking virtually all of the changes here. He kind of puts the old version to shame, IMO. Y'all picking this guy up and how many? I think I'm good with one, he'll be the one I pose while old vipers stands around looking menacing (they're not fun to pose at all).
Now, let's get Alley Viper the same glow-up!
I just realized I never got around to selling my old Vipers before the new Viper came out. Now I bet they're going to be worthless. Goddamn it.
