G.I. Joe Classified Series

I'd be a lot more chill about how much toy prices have gone up the last two years if I didn't see so much of it go on sale or clearance!

NO! He's not an asshole. He saw it posted online and shared it in our local group chat. Many of us aren't on IG anymore, so he shares things he sees there with the rest of us.
Oh wasn't knocking your friend, just misread and thought he found the motherload of all our canceled preorders. (I think that IG account had like, three figures I just never got that I'd preordered. Walmart sucks, your friend was just reporting the facts.)

So I was trying to loosen up some tough joints on the first versions of Scarlett and Lady Jaye tonight on impulse (I sort of stopped fighting with their kinda stuck hip joints when the retro versions came out and I got good ones) and I was thinking, I'm mostly all about focusing on new characters they haven't previously made yet, but man I'd love a new non-retro Scarlett and Jaye since the line seems to have worked out those early QC issues with hips and elbows. Am I alone in this? I think Retro Scarlett is damned near perfect but I love the head sculpt on Wave 1 and retro Lady Jaye's a bit too aggressively green to me, wish I had better luck with her first version. I'd love another take on both ladies like we got with Cover Girl.

Some of those I'd think we'll get before a proper Scarlett redo, but... yeah, something more now-Classified style could be really interesting. And Lady Jaye as well, for sure.

The comic cover is really a great blend between eras, but I bet we see Ninja Forcer first.

Jinx is outright from that Scarlett series, so I hope they are going to follow up.

I'm also... Surprised? Concerned? I don't know. It's interesting that we haven't seen other new comic characters come through the line. Given Baroness is a Joe.

Specifically the Redo Scarlett that redid her face print to be a bit less Penny from Inspector Gadget is the one for me. I love it. Only saw it once, ever.

Even if all they did was the Legends Pinless and Double Elbow special, I would buy a straight reissue with the 2.0 head.

And since I already have the 2.0 I'm basically saying I would just pay for double elbows.

Josh Williamson looks to the Classified line for inspiration. When Raptor was solicited he decided tonuse him in the book in that specific look. Lenny and crew read the book for sure, but I get the sense that they're content following their own paths for the most part and just being fans of each other.

Nearly everything from Duke onwards was straight up pulled from the Classified designs. Rock and Roll, Clutch. The aforementioned Jinx. I just assumed it was part of a plan.

I want Ninja Force Scarlett pretty badly. Both because that's the Scarlett figure I had as a kid AND because of how absolutely ass-mad it's going to make a certain type of Joe collector.
