G.I. Joe Classified Series

The arctic vehicle thing is weird, because it uses the words 'covert' and 'new.'

NEW could be interpreted to mean new to the line, new for that year, or new to the brand. If it's the last thing, we'll never guess. If it's the middle thing it's probably just the white HISS. If it's new to the line, then we have to consider the very few existing arctic-themed vehicles left; Polar Battle Bear, the Cobra WOLF, the Arctic Blast, and Ice Sabre.

The cover thing is weird, though, because I don't consider any of those vehicles 'covert.'

Yes. That’s how Damien will finally get another Ninja Force Storm Shadow. Although it’ll be packed in with an Extreme Ninja Force Snowmobile

I know this line rarely if ever misses, but they really nailed it with Mercer and Sarge. The little details on Mercer's anti-uniform are great, no trouble with joints or anything, head sculpts are awesome. Small complaint that his fists are un-gloved rather than matching his gun hands, and his knife sheath doesn't want to stay up on his boot so I might do a dab of glue there to make it stay. The sunglasses are, as with all of the Classified sunglasses, a little dicey but I wasn't going to use them anyway. Hilariously, two of Sarge's hats actually fit on him and look pretty good--the beret nearly matches his vest!

Sarge... man I was happy with the first Sarge. I didn't need more than one version of him. But they didn't mess around with this figure. He's just a lot of fun and has a stacked kit. I've been calling him the Sarge Tax to get Mercer but honestly, if you're going to make us buy the same guy again, do it this way - make him a unique, very new figure. I think my only wish is that instead of these two heads, they just do a sunglasses on, sunglasses off swappable head for him. It's his iconic look so making the shades affixed permanently would be fine.

But overall though, very much love this set. No regrets swapping from Pulse to Amazon to get it earlier.

Got shipping soon notification for the AWE Striker. Not a moment too soon. My Cobra vehicles far out number the Joes.
I was just wondering if they'd start shipping that bad boy early. I really wouldn't mind having a new vehicle soon to start using in photos. Between the AWE, the new Sarge, and the Desert Scorpion I'm sensing a fun visual theme coming in.

Yeah, this is really throwing me. It doesn't feel like they'd truly do a never-before-made vehicle, but the old snow vehicles never screamed covert.

Coastal Defender? Hey it's just a container, let's take it on base!

The only other thing is the C.L.A.W.? Covert Light Aerial Weapon? Maybe a Snow C.L.A.W.? Not really new though...

I would unironically preorder that stupid thing. I loved it so much as a kid.

Honestly, they should really look into more things like that. Recon Sled, snowmobile, FANG etc. The line had a lot of nice little cheap vehicles that were perfect for birthday gifts when you're going to a classmate's birthday party. I even thought the HAL was kinda neat, and they had the PAC/RATs, watch tower and checkpoint, Devilfish, Buzz Boar, Armadillo, and of course the ones that came with a figure like the Chameleon or Despoiler.

Far more than the bigger vehicles, I really want those little playset style cheap vehicles. the PAC /RAT trio of... were those robots? Drones? Would be a hoot. The defense unit playsets would be so easy to incorporate into a collector display. The Cobra Night Landing might be my grail set for them to make, amongst the littles.

Do Classified figures pop apart with heat at the waist? I want to stick Shipwreck's lower body on Law's upper body for a custom but even after extensive heating, it feels like the joint won't pop and I might break it.
