I could probably make it funny, huh. Oh, I forgot, my greatest heartbreak - SPIRIT. My favorite dude, stuck hip. I did return him for a new one though that was fine, and the Marauders version was even better, ROM-wise.

I've found that almost every figure who failed me in the past was fine in Retro - Destro, Zartan, Lady Jaye, Stalker, even Storm Shadow were all better in the Retro line which makes me think they've fixed a lot of early issues.

Did they ever release a retro standard red and blue Viper? Maybe I should chance my arm on an actual working functional bog standard Viper with the retro version.

So, I've gotten better about keeping track of my preorders and could've sworn I already owned that one in-hand, but it turns out searching for "viper" in your existing orders on Pulse does not turn it up, but "retro" does. I forgot he was part of the Rock n' Roll and Mindbender wave and already had one preordered. Thinking back, I think it was the same logic, that all my best ROM figures were on Retro cards.

(Queue ru1977 giving me a hard time about losing preorders again :) )

They had low stock just now so I made an attempt, but they dicked me around with my phone number long enough for me to lose the damned thing. It had auto filled with parenthesis around the area code and I finally figured out they wanted those removed.
 
I’m still unable to complete ANY orders on Pulse. Got locked out of Born Again Punisher and Dash Rendar since losing out on the C.L.A.W. all thanks to that checkout error.
 
I'm usually very content to not order from Pulse as I have had more negative experiences than good, so part of me is kinda okay if I don't get the CLAW pilot. I'm also looking on aliexpress now and then.

COBRA SIEGE COMMANDER
Code name: Centurion

I made a thread specifically for custom file cards back on the fwoosh boards a few months ago!

I sure coulda used you guys’d help!
There’s a certain mod here who literally writes short stories for his replies…🥰 thought for sure he’d contribute…

I used to do these kinds of mods with the 3 3/4 line all the time. I tend to like a little recognizable “Cobra Troop” sauce in there, so I’ve been holding onto some cheap Python Patrol parts for just such an occasion. I can actually do at least one more like this when I get more Trenches. Honestly I just prefer this in general to the Alley-Viper head. I considered adding goggles either to the face or the helmet, but painting the rank insignia felt cooler, and I like to see his eyes.
