G.I. Joe Classified Series

It is so weird to me how much I LIKE the Snake Eyes from that set. Like I fully just got it for the bear, but... Y'know I think I know what it is. I like elegant simplicity. He's a no-frills Snake eyes, very poseable, just enough gear to be fun, and the purples really pop without him being F*CKIN PURRRRRPLE. It's subtle. I got him the same week as V4 whom I thought was going to be the one I couldn't stop messing with but the two-pack SE is the one I can't leave alone. I totally thought he was gonna be fodder.

It's a sexy looking Snake Eyes. I love that costume. I love purple and pink. I like his new weapons.

I just can't Marie Kondo it.

"Does this mean spark joy?"
"No."

I was just talking about how the line was under 20 bucks MSRP when it launched and how it's been creeping up, but then again literally everything is going up and every company is determined to choke us out and not in a good way.

I wish I had a stronger Kondo instinct. I'm honestly stupidly easy to spark joy in. It's embarrassing.

Fortunately a few lines I bought a lot of have slowed down or dropped off. I think Classified will be the one that'll still sucker me into full-price figures the most, but there's 2-3 other lines I basically have every character I want and can cherry pick a lot easier now. Fricken classified man, still the best of the class these days.

Same here. As the MCU gets more into mutants, I am ready to come back to Legends more but kinda expect MCU figures to get the shaft here and there so who knows. Classified is fun and enjoyable in a way most lines haven't been for me in a long time, so yeah.

I feel like they still give you the value for their price. Maybe that's twisted just because others clearly don't which makes it even less value as the price hikes across the board.

There's also like a fun factor from the creators. It might just be the parts reuse but sometimes Legends just feel very We Had To. There's an enthusiasm in almost every Joe product. Even that course correct from the video game aesthetic to what we have now was very quick and showed that they meant some kind of business.

What's funny is how much reuse they do get out of these parts on Classified but they mix so much and of course the colors so it really hard to pick some of them apart like the marvel stuff.

Glad the green shirt made it before the price hike. I locked in preorders for eight of those... that would be an entire 9th figure at the new price.

I will definitely be more patient to wait for sales and discounts with the new pricing.

I had regrets about accidental army building early on with the basic troopers and vipers (when the troopers were hard to find, I placed an order for ONE figure from my usual retailers assuming I'd only get one or two and over the course of like a year I ended up getting all of them :/... and I got the viper three pack on one of Amazon's clearance sales so I've got a double of that set). But with the price now what, eight bucks higher than when the line launched? Any vipers I pick up going forward from here is a specialist. If they do a blue-shirt old school Cobra trooper he may end up just being an intern.

Can't wait to see what the Canadian price will be with the new jump. A $3US increase probably means we'll go from $36Cdn for a standard figure to $40Cdn now. So with tax I'll be looking at $45Cdn a figure........... Though I also won't be surprised if it is more.

I think I'll have to really just buckle down on Classified because that is my top line. Everything else will probably get downgraded to only the most desired items which won't be much since I have all but left SW (any scale), TFs and MOTU. So that leaves ML which will probably get cut back even more than it already has. Which probably makes sense since I have a lot of what I really want.

More likely I'll probably be okay with skipping updates to existing figures unless they are vastly superior to the older release. As well, like Ru1977 posted, I'll probably hold off on buying most items outside of exclusives and "extreme" must haves unless on sale. The sad part is "on sale" may end up being what the retail price is right now. Also my limited preordering will probably become almost non-existent.

I can't wait to see what TRU tries to sell 6" figures for after this increase. They already charge $45Cdn, which with tax is almost $51Cdn. I won't be surprised if they go to $50Cdn plus tax. Not a chance I would pay almost $60 for a single "regular" 6" Hasbro figure.
