It's crazy, I got a Slice and Dice shipping soon e-mail too, but it was for September 17th. Which is fine, since I have already had so much stuff come in this month, but the rest of you seem to have yours shipping in August.

Also, I hope they let Slice out again at some point with his attire orange. Maybe in the Retro Card line. I prefer the orange version.

I also got an email about 9/17. Which is fine, just weird to me they sent it now.

From when the last time my smoke detector beeped needing a new battery, I just twisted it to unlock it from the ceiling mount and then unplugged it. Switched battery later. Plugged back in and then remounted it. They should have an outer casing screwed to the mount and then the mount screwed into the ceiling. So it shouldn't be too hard to unplug it. But it's been a while, and certainly there's a variety of different detectors out there.

Against all odds one of my local Walmarts actually had the new aisle display. It was picked clean as a whistle, sure, but the fact that it happened at all is shocking.

The detectors themselves do go bad. If they're older than 15-20 years old it's possible the whole detector may be bad/expired.

Why didn't you just unplug the damn thing and get a battery the next day?

As others said that doesn't work... it
is wired into the house and will keep beeping until the battery is replaced.

I opened retro Flint. For a somewhat evergreen looking generic kinda army guy, the figure is really cool. Its very well done. The shotgun is a little bent. I can fix that. Otherwise, very well done. The Joe line still manages to impress, even on characters I was on the fence about.

I put retro Mindbender next to regular edition yesterday and wow they really didn't change much. Yet somehow I'm still happy with the purchase. I love this line.

I finally got around to part swapping Snake Eyes parts onto the diver body. Neck still seems a bit long, but I’m very happy with the results.
