G.I. Joe Classified Series

I had a chat with a friend the other day, typical millennial "I miss the good old days of internet" chat when we talk about how google used to actually work, why tumblr was better than twitter, and our favorite childhood forums. We both kind of agreed that forums were basically dead unless you could find a very niche small community with a forum master who isn't interested in selling out. And fellas (ladies?), we have that.

Happy to be here, sorry if I complain too much I just really like talking toys!

Heh, I admit I didn't stick with Image that far. I never read Deathblow, but concede on Spawn and Maxx. Spawn seemed like the title that carried the publisher. I actually think I preferred Stormwatch to WildC.A.T.s, though I barely read either. I think after a couple months of Image, I really pulled back on comics for several years.
Not to derail (who am I kidding, it the Joe thread, it's a contractual obligation by now), but I don't know how many #1's of Image comics I got, only to very rarely get a #2. I think Stormwatch was the only one i followed for about 2 years, all the others where very unmemorable.

I like that some of the accessories from the early waves are still getting use, it makes my Cobra Island troopers not stand out so much.

I forgot the Spectre Viper came with two heads, kind of tempting to buy enough to replace the heads on all my CI Vipers. Eh I hate that there are two head hole sizes, though, does anyone know if the new Viper head fits the old Viper buck (I can test this myself tonight)? It's nice that Classified team is trying to make a universal peg but in the mean time we're stuck with two very different sizes. Was disappointed that I couldn't put Cthuhlu's head on Snake Eyes to make MYTHICAL SNAKE EYES. But Cthulhu's head does fit Big Boa, who I've titled BIG BAD BOA (I'm bad at naming).

Add me to the list of people thinking Justice for Crystal Ball. Just got him! Amazing figure. Literally stopped working to open him on the spot. (Only Classified, right? Every other line can wait til after work for me but these guys)... I love when a figure tells a story, and Crystal Ball tells a story told by a guy on ayahuasca who thinks he's Alistair Crowley and I love it.

I’m very well known. Every time I walk into a room, everyone yells my name.
I legit yell NORM every time you post after me. Okay most of the time it's internal and not out loud, but it happens.

I mentioned on other social media that the only place online that I'm finding actual irony-free joy these days is an old school action figure message board and yeah, given the nostalgic reaction folks had to that idea, I think a lot of people are longing for the days when forums were king. Everquest RP server message board, a site that was just for Heroclix nerds, and nerdy baseball statistician forums were my main hangs back in those days of dial up and it's been all downhill from here. This place is a fucking HAVEN in the storm.
