G.I. Joe Classified Series

WOOOO BBTS just sent “processing soon” for Sunbow Snake-Eyes and the polar bear!!!
Same. I just shipped my POL (Two Firefighters, a random TVC Stormtrooper, and 86 Megatron). I'm going to have to hold up on shipping for a bit. I've gotten packages at least four times in the last week. Target Breakers came today.

I want Target Breaker & 86 Megatron... 🥺
Gonna be so gross when Megs, the constructions (Mixmaster just dropped for me), Grimlock redux and all the Joes I'm behind on suddenly drop this month.

Rattler Baroness is smaller across the board than Crimson, who was a rework of Original. Hands, head, all proportions. Also the face printing is so good and hyperreal, the Crimson and even Retro Scarlett look... Cartoonish next to her.

Just worth noting.

Found Breaker at Target last night.
Not sure if I’ll be all in on the whole MASS Device stuff, but this is a cool figure.

I LOVE his bubble gum chewing head. I wish more figures came with fun alt heads like that.

Sooo the latest retro wave arrived yesterday and WOW.
Tele-Viper is a lot of fun. His pack sits low on his back now but that doesn’t bother me personally. The “WHAT THA . . . !” head is my favorite.
Flint is, like, perfect. 10/10, no notes.
And Cover Girl? YOWZA! Just a fantastic figure, *gorgeous* face portraits, wonderful body sculpt that will be very useful in the future, and just so much personality and fun! I think she’s my favorite Joe lady yet. My favorite configuration is smiling with her hat on and her fists up for punching Cobras! She’s so neat.

Also: here is a (poor) photo of the red-mask lady Trooper heads on the Valkyries.

I'm waiting for Flint and Cover Girl to ship right now with the same behavior as my dog waiting for me to drop cheese from my lunch onto the floor.

I freak out if I find one in something I wrote - I get mad if I have a typo on a friggin' Bluesky post - but finding anyone else's? Charming. I found typos in a Clive Barker book last week. Movie made out of it. Traditional publisher. Big book deal. Typos. Cos humans make stuff.

But yeah, you can tell they cranked out the Order of Battle as filler and barely edited it. It's a mess. But I love it.
Hah. This reminded me of a little story my writing professor related to the class. It went something like this:
Prospective Author submits story to publisher.
Publisher sends it back, refusing it for the sheer amount of typos and punctuation errors.
Prospective Author contacts the publisher, saying “don’t you have people that correct that stuff?”
Publisher replies: “Yes, he’s called the Author.”
😁

Publishing in 2025 when traditional publishing has slashed their editorial budgets? Absolutely true. (The other reason I forgive typos in print - not a single working editor is paid a living wage for the city they live in and not a single publisher hires enough editors to do it right. )

An author I grew up reading once said he's never opened a copy of one of his own books and not immediately found a typo, like magic. And he's always been a big name with full support of his publisher, not some midlister just trying to scrape by.
