G.I. Joe Classified Series

They sold a lot of Rattlers. Almost 10% more than the Dragonfly and more than the HISS. The prices will come down once more people get them. Pretty crazy though how $$$ difference a week or two can make in the toy biz.

I'm sure you're right, but even if they come down to the Dragonfly figure prices (I think $50-60 last time I checked), I'm still too cheap to not wait for a retro repaint or something.

haha same. I told myself I'd be fine selling Wild Bill when I first got him and putting the earnings towards Baroness but there's too many cool toys I could buy instead. Like, Flight Baroness or Gamerverse Juggernaut? Hard to justify secondary prices this way

There's been a handful of times where I said I'll buy that one figure (usually an ML) loose from a two pack or box set, then I look at eBay prices and end up either buying the whole set or doing without.

Without turning this too much into a ML conversation, that's the biggest reason I've all-but dropped the line over the last two-three years. Over half the figures I want are crammed into multipacks with stuff I don't want. So maybe that's why I find myself easily upset when Classified does it. Hell, I was just looking at the Slaughter/Mercer pack thinking I'd much rather just spend $25 on him and call it a day than pay $60 and get Sarge too.

I'm perpetually selling bits and pieces on ebay that I'm kinda cool with selling half a set off anymore. It was kinda part of the deal with Classified from the beginning for me (I just jumped in last year), but totally have that attitude with Legends still.

Yeah, ML really is the king of re-buying a figure to get a new figure (stares in Sauron) whereas Joes have been PRETTY good about not doing that, with the exception of the Haslabs. With the Haslabs I usually start out with "Let me subtract $25 per figure and decide if what remains is what I'd pay for the vehicle," but really the way to do it is subtract $50-$75 per figure and decide if THAT is what the vehicle is worth since I think a LOT of us are as much, if not more so, interested in the figures than we are the vehicle (or giant space man). I do the same with the retail vehicles, too, though Classified has done at least in my opinion a pretty good job reasonably pricing the retail vehicles.

I just looked. Sweet Christmas.
Nothing sweet like Christmas has anything to do with those final sales amounts.

It looks like $150US is where he is hovering right now. Hopefully another, regular retail release gets announced and drops the price. Although I do have to admit it is nice to have him.

I'm positive we'll get a Retro Wild Bill at some point in his cartoon colors or v2 or v3 colors. Obviously not ideal for non-backers that wanted that v1 look, but there's no way they leave the 'available at retail' collection lacking a Wild Bill forever.

They need to just tear off the bandaid and put the police officer up for pre-order. These ICE shenanigans aren't going to stop and we want our toys. Just stealth drop it and don't make a big deal.
