I think he might be the first. I wonder if he'll be harder to get because of army builders or easier because of the lack of name recognition. I know I wish I had two bucks to pop that second head onto.
 
Oh, that's a good point. I definitely would like to at least get one of his heads. But yeah, you're right, if someone got multiple Rattlers, you really only need one Wild Weasel.
 
Two GI Joe pick ups today. Helix from Amazon and Footloose from Target.

Footloose is just more of what makes this line so great. The only thing is I wish he came with an alternate hand to make the peace sign that he's making on the side of his package.

Helix, being from the windowless era had some issues. The ties that kept her in place warped her legs, which I can get back with some heat, but she also has a paint blemish on her chest which is not readily noticeable but it is if you look hard at it. I might do an exchange. This character is already 16 years old and yet my mind thinks of her as being "new".....I'm all for new Joes, especially female.

Footloose is a total hippie and Helix, to me, reads as a kind of alternative gal. I bet they'd make a good couple.
 
Helix totally still registers as "new" in my brain but anyone who came after, say, 1992? I love that they made her and Shooter though - the original lineup was such a boy's club that anywhere they can expand the roster is a good thing.

I think it'd be an absolute hoot if they started adding female supporting cast members from the comics who never had action figures. Candy Appel, Bongo the Balloon Bear (C'mon, put her in a two pack with Ripcord! Balloon accessories!), Daina, Magda, Lola, Dr. Sidney Biggles-Jones, Dr. Knox. I feel like their willingness to be silly and do Cold Slither and PD Destro means they've got enough humor on staff to do a Bongo figure.

See, I think we have more of a shot with Super 7 making those in o-ring form and I would be more likely to buy them in that form as well. Those deep cuts seem more their thing.

Super 7's smaller figures definitely go deeper dives. Like how they went really hog wild with Tiger Force figures with their less-articulated ReAction line.

Yeah, I don't think the Classified team is getting enough credit for how deep/weird they're actually willing to go. There's some deep dive and goofy stuff included with otherwise standard characters (look at Crystal Ball), and then - as you guys have said, there's PD Destro, Cold Slither, Quarrel, and Glenda. Radioactive Snake Eyes with a polar bear? Snake-person CC? An entire sub-line doing homages to the 12" Joe dolls. Even Helix is maybe not a deep cut, but definitely a weird one they easily could have skipped for several more years before anyone would even question it at all. If this line were called Joe Legends we'd be having the X-23 argument about her, I'd wager.

The SnowCat is going to come with a kitchenette and some cooked fish. The Joe team is definitely more than happy to do weird stuff.
 
Not to rehash an old theory of mine, but with Cold Slither coming it means we're one step closer to getting these ladies rolled in and I'm ready for it

Nope, pretty sure Roxy is the one who likes the booger suger with CoCo. Stormer thinks Storm Shadow is the strong, silent sensitive type but doesn't have the guts to approach. Pizzazz and Zartan hold a record for 18 broken headboards at Holiday Inn's in California, Utah and Michigan on the 1984 Cold Slither/Misfits summer tour. No way in hell anybody gonna tell me that Zanya is not Pizzazz's daughter.

There are several Rattler gunners on eBay now, averaging between $75-80. Cheapest Baroness is $155 plus shipping with Wild Weasel at $190 plus shipping.
