Fair. Though I would probably have him masked and have a a different character. Maybe. Shit. Maybe I want a Ray Stevenson head.

but yeah I’d be up for several of the Retaliation costumes to show up in Classified. I love leather-edgelord Cobra Commander, Snake-Eyes is a great design, the Cobra “Combat Ninja” Troops are a much-requested 3 3/4 line upscale request, Jinx is cool, thickboi crustpunk Firefly is epic, Red Ninjas and Storm Shadow would be cool too.

Yeah I wouldn't object to any of those, though Storm Shadow would need to be a new character on my shelf. But especially after seeing the actor on Squid Game, hell yeah.

Just for Grodd’s sake: no Channing Tatum.

Sometimes what we need and what we want aren't the same thing...

I dunno, the Jump Street movies really formed my opinion of him in a positive direction. I haven't really seen him in much though. He was good in Ten Years though.

Oh I’d take that “Ultimate Duke” in Classified, but I’d do what I did with the Retaliation version: use the “generic trooper” head on the actual figure, and use the Channing Tatum head for a battlefield corpse or have him repeatedly shot by SAW-Viper or eaten by a polar bear or something.
The Retaliation Roadblock outfit is cool, but it’s gonna be a very hard “no” to Dwayne Johnson in this house, as always. I thiiiiiink I found a non-Johnson head with a reasonable color match for the skin tone back in the day, or like put a mask over the bottom of his face or something.
Oh but I would take an Arnold Vosloo Zartan likeness, just to have an Arnold Vosloo head.

Heh, you and my wife would agree.

I’ve tried, I really have. But he’s just an absolutely terrible actor and I can’t get past the lack of ability there. It’s been explained to me that many folks find him easy on the eyes, but he’s just got one of those goofy dudebro faces that screams “please punch me!” and like I’m sure he’s a nice guy in real life but I’ve met mossy logs with more charm.

Aaaaaanyway, I’d still rather watch him than Dwayne Johnson.

Still though: some good designs there in Retaliation, and I’d be happy to toss some heads aside to get good base figures.

That's an absolutely obscene amount of gear. It's awesome. At that particular time Hasbro was putting their absolute best into 3.75" GI Joe. The Retaliation movie toys were way better than the actual movie, the non-movie toys were great as well.

I had soooooo many of that figure back in the day. He was the base to so many customs I did. Most of his weapons got tossed in bins. The M4, and HK416 were used by many of my "operator" customs when Marauder wasn't what I was looking for.

I wish I bought more of those figures and vehicles when I had the chance at clearance. Going back to the Rock for a moment, I have a handful of boxes with his face on it and it kind of annoys me. He's fallen out of favor a bit with wrestling fans who follow the backstage happenings. He inserted himself into recent storylines, got his daughter an onscreen job, and his mother into the Hall of Fame as a promoter. Rock, get off my GI Joe packaging!

Speaking of watching or not watching unboxings, seeing Law and Order is already in hand for folks has me chomping at the bit. It's always the animal companion characters I get impatient waiting to ship. I swear the worst thing they could do for my bank account is release like "GI Joe: ANIMAL FORCE" and give Flint a pet fox and Beachhead a pet quokka.

Oh boy, I'm airing my list of grievances today. First the Rock and now the early release reviewers. Why can't they just come out and disclose where they get their figures? I like YoJoeJerk, he's acquired taste and has grown on me over the last year, but he talks about "his guy in Japan". He pays for the figures! Why not say the store? "His guy"...smh
