G.I. Joe Classified Series

Looks cool is a total reasonable reason to buy a toy.
It used to be. With... you know.. the world being what it is right now... I gotta be a bit more selective than that. I've really tried to trim down to things that matter to me -beyond- just being cool. If I collected every toy that looked cool to me, I'd be spending my entire yearly salary on toys. Too many companies doing too many cool things.

Prime day is coming in a little over a week so I'm hoping for a couple on my list to reach my threshold.
I'm watching that pretty carefully, myself. I think if Leatherneck drops to around 20-25 CAD, I'm gonna grab him (currently 35.99). And if the Snow Serpent drops to under 30, I'll grab another one of those. And there's a bunch others that I'm not watching as closely, but if I see them drop to something that I consider more reasonable than actual MSRP in Canada, I might bite.

Must...not ...watch...Rattler...unboxings
"You will watch Rattler uboxings.....You will watch Rattler unboxings"

The Rattler Haslab looks to be a fantastic offering. However I am worried about the wings moving because I watched the Toy Optics review and the wings made a terrible screeching sound when moving. I'm hoping that is not a common occurrence.

Now just over 16 hours until the Snow Cat is revealed.

So, is the prevailing assumption the police preorder just isn't going to happen now? I get why they might've dropped it, just wondering if we assume that this is basically a cancelled figure now.

If it's made it to the tooling, promo and pre-order stage in the process, I kinda doubt it. If anything I see them either holding off to the end of the summer, or just doing an unannounced pro-order drop.

I also doubt they'd drop the Police Officer entirely. Hell, he might be in early stages of production. Plus surely retailers got their ability to order him before the livestream.

Also, am I the only one that doesn't watch unboxing videos? I don't get watching someone else open up a toy. I also don't watch other people play video games.

Get off my lawn.

If I did flip the Rattler,

Unboxing is not for me. Actual unboxed in hand overviews and details are.

I guess I don't see much difference between an 'unboxing' and a 'review.' At least in the toy world. So most people are watching to see what the thing is going to be like in hand, not to actually watch someone take it out of the box. That would be weird.

It's definitely coming out. Hasbro is just not stupid enough to hype a cop right now.

I don't like watching them for the same reason I prefer not to watch movie trailers. I want to go in seeing it all for myself in person the first time. The only bad thing is sometimes you get warned in unboxing videos about things to watch out for that might break easily or just something to be mindful of.

Before unboxing videos were common, how would you even know that X-23 had foot claws?

I don't normally watch unboxing videos, but the Rattler is en route and I'm having display anxiety so I watched the official unboxing so I could get a stronger idea of the scale of things.

The only time I watch them is if something about my item packaging seems off that you wouldn't find in a review and this type of issue almost never relates to toy collecting since you always are aware of the packaging itself. So short answer, no.
