Given the failure of the Zombies from Mars line, which I do hope gets another shot at some point, I think this might be the only way I'd get a good Astronaut and yes, absolutely, 100%. This is like a top ten random figures want for me. Gosh they could do a whole subline of different astronaut eras if they really wanted to. But I think a standard white EMU would probably be the best. There were space-based Joes right? Something that would work well for reuse?I'd like to see an astronaut in the line as well
Yeah, this would be cool as well. I feel like WWII is the easy one since it's probably the most ripe for reuse. And historic soldiers. WWII. WWI. Vietnam. Civil War. Revolutionary War.
This was what initially got me into 6" military style figures waaaaay back in the day with Plan-B/Resaurus Special Forces figures. Dated leg and elbow articulation by today's standards, but really solid for the time. They did Delta, Seals, Green Berets, a few others. They eventually did a Emergency Forces line and a WWII line and had one of the best sculpted SWAT figures I've seen to this day. A lot of the purchases I've made from Classified and Valaverse are just me chasing down what I consider to be upgraded versions of those older figs. That would be a smart move. Task Force Ranger from the early 90s, Seal Team Six etc, Delta operator. McFarlane did stuff like that a while ago.
Makes total sense. And I would love if this Legacy line went that way too. I will happily create my own filecards and codenames. I'm also not above swiping names from the Modern Warfare games, heh. Oh, speaking of, could also do CIA, the Army Ranger Wing of the Irish Defece Forces (Sciathán Fianóglach an Airm), British SAS, 75th Ranger, Cuerpo de Fuerzas Especiales, and other international special forces units. This was what initially got me into 6" military style figures waaaaay back in the day with Plan-B/Resaurus Special Forces figures. I'm planning on using the Monster Force Blackwatch agent as my certified G-man. British SAS I'm pretty sure they have all the necessary parts for the classic look already.could also do CIA
It bums me out, but on some level I think the concept might not have enough legs to really support a line at that price point. I have thoughts on what could help it, but those thoughts also would move it away from the pulp inspiration they were going for.Oh yeah, I forgot all about Zombies from Mars.
Found it, basically SAS is just repaint of Big Ben with maybe some weapon swaps.British SAS
Awesome! Just like that then. A lot of these shouldn't be too difficult since we have so many parts. Speaking of, please check out the new Parts Checklist thread!Found it, basically SAS is just repaint of Big Ben with maybe some weapon swaps.
I obviously have been wrong with comics before but I would be shocked to learn Steel Brigade ever appeared there either.Just to jump back real quick on Greenshirts, I believe in the comics (no Steel Brigade showing up that I remember),
And not a huge stretch since some of the actual Joes were members of those units. So like JakeEkiss was getting at, the parts are definitely there. And I think classified versions of specialized units like SEALS, Rangers, Mess Hall admin, Pararescue, Power Production, etc. would be pretty awesome.
Y'know what I'd like, just since we've been getting more Iron Grenadiers? T.A.R.G.A.T.Absolutely would buy an astronaut.
And Astro-Viper.
