G.I. Joe Classified Series

Uh, what about the Actuary Vipers?!

That's kinda funny, reminds of when I pointed out to my mom all the bad guys on Visionaries had beards and she said "Huh... Your dad has a beard..." And it was her little joke that my dad was a Darkling Lord until he finally shaved it off.

You've got to have these, and they're clearly high target.
Take them down, you're kneecapping the Cobra organization.

I believe:
Trapped in the freighter: Billy, Zartan, Tyrone, Capt. Minh, Firefly, Fred VII, Dr. Mindbender, Voltar and Raptor. Fred, Voltar, Croc Master, and Raptor, plus the minor characters, died in the freighter, mostly of botulism (!!!!!). Mindbender died but was resurrected. Zartan, Billy, and Firefly escaped.

I was on a reorganization jag tonight and had two discoveries: I still have all of the original 001 Snake Eyes extra weapons in the original box (!!!). Wondering if I should devalue them by taking them out of the foam packaging.

I also came across the HISS tank Cobra Commander whom I have done the impossible with an NOT opened yet. I'm debating if it'd be fun to just actually ENJOY him instead of squatting on him in the event I need to sell the figure some day. Were you me... do you open him or keep him secret, keep him safe?

It depends — did you pick up the regular Cobra Commander retro release? I've actually been seeing him and the Cobra Trooper a bunch at Walmart the past couple weeks. He's a great version of CC and I love the pointing hand on him.

And Ru1977 — I just looked up what a Darkling Lord was on Prysmos Wiki (I just Googled Darkling Lord and it brought me there. Apparently everything has a Wiki) and it describes Darkling Lords as "Vile, devious, insidious and all-round sleazy." I'd have shaved, too.

I would keep him unopened, especially if I have a CC I'm happy with because I have a touch of mercenary.

I do have the other ones - I tend to be the opposite of a mercenary with my figures in that I take really good care of them in case I need to move them, but keeping stuff in a package always feels counter to what toys are supposed to do. Honestly keeping him in the box this long has been some kind of willpower record for me.

Heh right, I tend to open everything, so if I have something magically unopened, then I would keep it that way. I had the MCU Surter unopened for a really long time because I was waiting until I finally redid my shelves and had the space, but I waited so long that I refocused how I collected Marvel and sold him off. But that rarely happens for me. With classified, I tend to sit on good ones to open after a really bad day as a little treat.

Oh! Hawk has Zandar's chest webgear. It had been bothering me since seeing him, wondering if it was new or not. I think Zandar is the first time we've seen it... so the new parts on Hawk are just the head and helmet, I believe. Zandar's vest, Stalker's rifle pack (Hawk has a knife where the magazine is stored), and everything else is Grunt. He does come with the same "grease gun" as Stalker so you could pack his rifle out the same way. Trying the Retro rifle from Grunt with Stalker's pack, it really does stick out the top very far. If there were a hole cut in the bottom, it would fit a lot better.

I wonder if the MMS's green will match the Vamp? Hard to tell from photos. Between this and the AWE Striker, space is going to be tight.

For those with the original Cobra MMS, how do you like it? Pros/cons? I don't own it, I have this new Hawk one pre-ordered but I'm not sold on it 100%.

Generic arctic troops are a really appealing option. Maybe one in parka and green pants, and one that has a more Snow Job style deep cold look? Or one male one female body, make extra heads a stretch goal. Plus if you do arctic generics, Joe heads are pretty consistent, could pop any named character on the body.
I forgot one more option that probably will happen for one of the figure tiers with the Snow Cat........a female figure.

Every Joe Haslab to date has had a female figure in the tier list:

Skystriker - Pilot Scarlett
HISS - HISS Gunner
Dragonfly - Glenda
Rattler - Pilot Baroness

So I think it is a fairly safe bet that one of the figures will be a female figure.

Edit:

I was watching another stream and there was some talk of the hints being a swerve for what the Haslab will be. However I was thinking about the Rattler last year and how the hints were all pretty on the nose leading up to the reveal. So while the team will have some fun with fans, I don't see them being deceptive about the Haslab, especially this close to the reveal.

I was wondering, too if the hints might be a swerve, but I couldn't come up with anything. Maybe the Cobra Wolf (which was actually bigger than the Snowcat) but it breaks up the Joe/Cobra pattern. And you're right about the Rattler, it was all pretty straight forward.

Also, good call on the female figure. I would bet that Arctic gear Scarlett and Snake Eyes would be a couple of the figures. Maybe a re-deco'd version of Snow Job with the 50th anniversary camo. Or maybe Arctic Steel Brigade troopers?

They could go a couple ways with Snake Eyes.

I remember really liking hoodie SE back in the day despite it being a little goofy, so I don't know which version I prefer. They could also do something new, which would be cool.

I think either Scarlett or Lady Jaye are the leading contenders for a female figure in the Haslab. Either one in arctic gear. Though maybe we could see that character, much like with the HISS and get a female greenshirt in arctic gear.

I could see why Snake-Eyes might be tempting to put in the Haslab, but I think they might feel they can sell an Arctic Snake-Eyes at retail. Also I kind of want an existing snow based character to debut in the Haslab (not necessarily in their most popular look), to add to the ranks of winter Joes.

I'd be down for a generic vehicle operator in arctic gear, dont care on gender, but it is always nice to get more lady Joes.

I got a cast of a head someone made back when he was running the first time and made this.

DCUC body with an old Humburglar figure's outfit, with cotton stuffed in the suit to fill him out to his 'heroic proportions".

I wasn't tempted by the Budo reveal at first, but after seeing the full images, AND seeing the samurai Predator NECA teased based on a game, I'm reconsidering that now.
Those hands are WAY too big. Try a 1:18 scale figure's.

I like it. The ability for both the HISS and the Stinger to tow it is neat. It's an upgrade from the original in detail as you'd expect, but not mind blowingly so.
