G.I. Joe Classified Series

Apropos of nothing:
Since a bunch of us were making fake Joes file cards for Monster Force figures...
And I now have a Classified-scale Dracula...
And I just finished listening to the full-cast audiobook of Dracula (Tim Curry as Van Helsing is genius casting, BTW)...
If we were going to cast a very Joes retelling of Dracula, who is your cast?
I instantly went:
  • Quincey Morris: Recondo
    Dr. John Seward: Doc
  • I feel like we need a long-term pairing for the Harkers. Flint and Lady Jaye? (Snake Eyes is too cool to be Jonathan Harker but... dare I say it, the cartoon pair of Duke and Scarlett could work)
  • Is cover girl Lucy Westenra?
    Who's fancy enough to be Arthur Holmwood?
  • I'd keep Monster Force Declan Van Helsing as our modern day Van Helsing.
  • Renfield... a devolved Cobra Commander?

I dunno, just a silly thing I was imagining as I listened to the book while running today.

I think my favorite single line in the entire book is Mina mentioning causally that the only person in the entire heroic cast who only speaks one language is the solitary American. Of COURSE the American is monolingual.

So Wetsuit is even bigger than Torpedo. I thought they’d reuse some parts, and maybe they do, but from that pic, looks like he’s all new. And definitely taller than Leatherneck. Still disappointing, but Wetsuit still looks really great.
 
Love my Slice and Dice set. Would like a classic Slice, even a classic Dice with bigger boots (otherwise he's pretty retro). Dice's lack of butterfly joints is a bummer but otherwise the figures are great. Wish they would have done Slice's weapons in black if they're not going to paint them, but whatever. I'm trying on different gear right now. He looks good with everything. These wrist joints are crazy, some vertical wrist joints don't move at all but his pose almost 90 degrees. Dice has horizontal wrists which are kinda boring by comparison. I like all the extra heads and hat/scarf but don't see myself using them on these two, not without buying another set. Rotated Slice's belt to sit sideways like the old toy, he looks great. My favorite childhood action figure (Slice) as a great Classified! I'd buy this mold again in bright orange Slice too.

Fun review! I can’t for Slice and Dice! I loved both of them, but like you, Slice was a huge favorite of mine.

That’s crazy because Slice was also *my* favored of the pair back in the day! Like I *liked* Dice just fine, but Slice was THE GUY. Easily my favorite “bad guy ninja” from ARAH (I liked Storm Shadow better as a good guy, and let’s be real: Slice has way more “supervillain energy”).
