G.I. Joe Classified Series

Based on your BAT canon, I actually kind of love the idea even more of there being like... 6 of them. You've got this little fireteam of two Snow Serpents sent as an escort to bring the BATs out to the ambush location and the WHOLE time they're just sweating bullets because there's fucking SIX of these things that are going to pull them apart like string cheese if their WiFi signal dips out for fifteen seconds.
This is actually perfect for my personal head canon for the BATs. "I have good news and bad news. Good news, Cobra is sending backup. Bad news, Cobra is sending more of ... (whispers) HIM."
BAT slowly turns its expressionless head toward them and stares silently, then looks away.
"... I should call my mom one last time before they arrive, huh."

It's fun headcanon to give tech-head Joes the ability to hack BATs on the fly. Imagine a squad of Crimson BATs being hacked and throwing themselves into the cogs of a HISS they're escorting. That seems like a no-brainer for a new original Joe, a BAT that has been reprogrammed to be "a good guy", maybe give him some personality clothing like a scarf because "lol robots don't need scarves!"

A good-guy BAT, you say?

A good guy BAT that dresses up like a human dressed like a Bat and fights crime as a vigilante. BAT-Man! (That was so f****** stupid. I'm sorry)

But I got Law and Order and Snake Eyes V.4 in the mail today. I love both of these figures. I swear this line just kicks ass on every single release. V.4 Snake Eyes was always one of my favorite vintage ARAH figures. The doll as well. I have both the vintage 3.75" figure and 12" doll of V.4 Snake Eyes. This Classified figure totally lives up to their legacy and will look great alongside the vintage toys.

Don't F'n apologize! Don't you dare! Do you know where you are? Have you not read the last 292 pages? We live for jokes like that! It's our bread and butter! Did George Washington apologize for being American? No. Did Dave Thomas apologize for creating Wendy's which gave birth to the great Baconator? No. Does Mindbender apologize for being everyones hopes, wishes and dream all rolled into one glorious six pack? F NO!

You apologize to no one.

Say it "I am Super Camel, and I belong here."

Do it.

I'm proud of you.

Slaughter and Mercer look really good. I don't know what it is, but I love every Sgt. Slaughter figure. Is it because of GI Joe, or is it WWF? It's probably both! But this particular Sarge looks bad ass, and I love his weapons. Mercer looks really good as well.

I have this set pre ordered, so I'm ready.

Got a bunch of updated shipping dates from Amazon tonight. Hoping that means that as usual with Amazon, they will start dropping things even earlier as they clear warehouse space. (Really anxious to get those retro figures, c'mon, Flint and Cover Girl git over here)

I love Shark's reviews, but him trying to say Mercer is a bit bigger than the standard figures is not really accurate. Looking at the side-by-side comparisons it is clear Mercer is pretty standard in size.

Now of course that goes back to whether or not you think Mercer should be bigger than a standard Joe, or if he is just regular height. I'm not talking about the Energon Universe version here, just the classic ARAH depiction. Personally I always thought the Renegades were a bit bigger than the average person. Not quite as big as Slaughter, but still above 6'. Both Slaughter and Mercer look good still so it really doesn't matter since he isn't as short as say Leatherneck.

Sgt. Slaughter, like most wrasslin' personalities of his original era, seemed like a living cartoon to begin with. Him joining the Joe team seemed like an obvious fit, and he kept me watching GI Joe for a lot longer than I would have otherwise (by the time he joined the Joes in '85, I was in High School and no longer collecting Joes or watching WWF). The figures in the Classified series really capture his likeness well, but also integrate his character seamlessly into the aesthetic of the line.
