The white guy head looks like he goes to high school with Haslab Crazylegs 😭 While the dark skinned head looks like Stringer from The Wire.
 
Adding to the piling on: the dark-skinned head looks like the unnamed soldier who becomes the focal point/lead character in a story; the white guy looks like the unnamed soldier who gets red-shirted SO FAST in the story.
 
Man... that Green Shirt is awesome and the urge to army build is going to be strong.. but in a post tariff priced world army building is going to be tough. But I have tons of heads floating around from old Mattel DC TV characters or MCU figures or whatever I could do a fair number of head swaps to get a variety. I imagine I'll buy at least 5 but might stop there. I do have a couple of extra Grunt figures already head swapped as generic 'grunts'.
 
Is the vintage-card wave with the Viper supposed to be out soon?
 
I think that wave (Rock n Roll, Viper, MindBENDER) will likely be the next thing to ship. And the Perimeter set. I’m guessing they’ll both ship in June.
 
For what it’s worth, the retro Viper wave does now say it’s being released in early June on Amazon.
 
Yeah, those three seem to be next--Pulse has them listed for August but I thought I heard they were likely sooner. Also, Pulse's order history tab is CHAOTIC AF wow
 
Entertainment Earth also has the Darklon/Footloose/Frag-Viper/Blowtorch wave scheduled for May. We shall see.
 
It feels like forever since I added anything new to the shelf. And I'm STILL waiting on Dial Tone. I can't even begin to imagine what happened there considering his other wavemates have long been out and some people even got Dial Tone.
 
I'm also waiting on my Dial Tone preorder from Pulse. If they don't fulfill, I guess I won't have a Dial Tone for my collection. I have less connection to him, but I do at least have awareness of him. Wouldn't have been my first choice for '86. But glad someone like Wet Suit isn't in limbo in this way. That I'd be pissed about.

I still have a small stockpile of Joes I've been saving for a rainy day. I've got all four of the modern military soldiers. Looking forward to the firefighter. I'm kinda bummed I already opened all my Night Force and Iron Grenadiers. I guess that rainy day already came and went. Really looking forward to a lot of upcoming figures though, like Footloose, Law & Order, Monkey Wrench, Flint, Cover Girl, armored Cobra Commander. Those are the big ones.
 
Exactly this. I don't have much attachment to Dial Tone so I've been patient. But if it was Blowtorch or Wet Suit I would have probably cracked and gone to eBay by now.
 
I know a small group of folks got Dial Tone but a lot of us are still waiting - was it any particular retailer who got him? I like the character enough to cancel and order from another store, but not enough to overpay on eBay - I can live without him if he becomes one of those 50 dollar-plus tertiary market figures.
