I was telling Ru the other day, I have Zartan, Zarana, Road Pig, Ghawghyde, and have ordered Monekywrench...but don't have the the original 3 'Noks.

Kind of similar to how I collected as a kid. I had all the same ARAH figures (minus Zartan), but no OG Noks.

I also had Thrasher and the Thundermachine....so if they ever make him or the car, I'm in.

I'm not that interested in the MASS Device aspect of these figures. I didn't order the divers. I might have if they were female, just to get some variety. I don't think I'd buy the MASS Device even if they offered it.

Speaking of females in wetsuits, I'd totally buy Mara the aquatic lady Shipwreck fell in love with. There were a lot of episodes that centered on this guy, like when all his friends and relatives started melting. Dude's been through a lot!

I really loved the Dreadnoks too. The original three for sure, they just seemed like regular dudes you'd be crazy to fuck with. There was a family that lived on my street growing up, and the father was this big obese dude, who wore aviators making him look like Monkeywrench. They just seemed like gas station attendants/motorcycle gang members/heavy metal/punk hybrids. If I ever spotted guys that look like the Dreadnoks today, as a brown adult, I'd walk on the other side of the street.
 
They've gotta do the Thunder Machine with Thrasher. ~$100 and it's a no-brainer for anyone who's already put hundreds into buying Dreadnoks. Lenny's done such a great job with them, it would be insane to not finish the group. They kind of have a crazy amount of new tooling that is only used once for them and never again. Meanwhile there's a lot of new character, non-repaint releases where the only new part is a head sculpt.
 
Oh man, I was just looking up Zanzibar on YoJoe.com and I was convinced he was the driver of the Swamp Fire (helicopter with pontoons). He drove the Air Skiff, which I have zero memory of. My friend had Zanzibar and the Swamp Fire, and that's how he paired them, so I just assumed.
 
I will say that I definitely prefer the latter-day Dreadnoks to the original 3. Road Pig and Zanzibar are my ride-or-dies. And I do prefer Zartan as a solo-ish operator and foil for Storm Shadow, AND I prefer Firefly as a direct foil for Snake-Eyes.
 
I am so thankful they didn't do Zartan with the Chameleon at the Ferret pricepoint or something. Would have been neat but I wouldn't want the vehicle and I feel like no one is gonna want it who doesn't also want Zartan so I'd be stuck with it.

How do you feel about Firefly being a secret Arashikage member? I'm always of two minds about it because it seems like Hama had that planned for a while (maybe not all the way back to the Snake Eyes origin issues, but sometime before he actually revealed it), but the time when it was actually revealed was immediately before I stopped collecting the series so I kinda equate it with 'the bad times'. As it is now, I always keep Zartan, Firely, and Stormshadow together on the shelf.

I'd think that could be done at a deluxe level. Maybe at the regular two pack pricing.

I don't like it, personally.

I'm fine with ninjas also being soldiers, but it just feels a stretch too far & too goofy for SO MANY other soldiers, also being secret ninjas lol.

I'm good with him having Jason Bourne-type martial arts training as a mercenary, but I don't want him or most others being full on ninjas.

I'd take a Chameleon w/a blue-skinned (non-converting) Zartan. I think the Chameleon was the only Joe vehicle I owned.
