G.I. Joe Classified Series

He was gone on Amazon yesterday afternoon, too. Snake Eyes and the rest were still there. If they are shipped in solid cases to online outlets, I wonder if they're producing and offering different amounts of each character based on perceived popularity.

Kinda interesting to see Monkeywrench sold out on Pulse - not the marquee figures but the second-tier Dreadnok. I love the appreciation this line has for characters who aren't the stars.
I think the love Lenny puts into the Dreadnoks is apparent with a lot of the releases, especially recently.

I know Road Pig was not everyone's cup of tea, but you can't deny that Lenny really went all out on the figure, and the same can be said for Monkeywrench, and he is a standard release!!!

I got busy at work & forgot about the pre-orders until about 3:30. Missed out on Monkey Wrench at my usual spots, but I got CC & Snake Eyes. I was a bit too young for GI Joe in its prime. This version of SE was the first one I remember seeing, so I've always had a soft spot for this design. CLAW looks cool, but I'm not sure how I'd display it, so I'm passing for now.
If you're still looking for him, BBTS has Monkeywrench available for PO.

I actively disliked Road Pig as a kid but I'm a sucker for the animal companion figures so I got him in Classified anyway and man, he's a FIGURE. Like, just so much effort went into making him cool. It's very clear Lenny loves the 'noks. Every one of them so far has rocked.

Well, the CLAW sold out on Pulse, with it still waiting in my cart. Pulse even sent me an email along the lines of “Still deciding?” As if I was intentionally hesitating to purchase this thing. Anyone looking to offload the glider and keep the pilot? Hit me up please.

I want the pilot but not the glider, but didn't order one either. But if it goes up again and one of us gets it, maybe we can split it up?

I heard he was quite the peg warmer back in the day?
Crystal Ball was a fixture on the Children's Palace pegs from 1987-1994. Most of them were lost due to the fact that they were still there long after the store went out of business and the various locations demolished.
(OK, that second sentence was sarcasm, the first not so much).
1987 was the year they really became a freak show over at Cobra. I think they are a bit underrated. Croc Master, Big Boa, Raptor, Crystal Ball, there was some fun stuff going on there. I recently set up all my Classified Cobras on display and grouped this lot together. They're looking pretty good. I think Raptor and Crystal Ball might be my favorites because they updated the designs and yet kept the familiar beats. That's when this line is at its best, I think. Although Classified Croc Master and Big Boa are more or less their classic look, they still look incredible too.

I continue to maintain, and will until my dying day, that most of Cobra's best characters/action figures were the absolute dingbat weirdos. I can't and won't attempt to explain it. It's just true.

I'm still hoping we get a more ARAH-looking Raptor. True story for those that care about stupid nostalgia stories: as a kid I begged a neighbor friend for weeks to trade with me so I could get his Raptor figure. When he finally agreed, I gave Raptor the v3 Snake Eyes sword and used him as a kind of 80's Fantasy Movie barbarian guy. I loved him. And I probably barely ever once used him as an actual Cobra villain.

I was forced to give away the four figures I took on a trip to the Philippines to one of my cousins. Nothing in return, just my mom insisting I give them because he liked them. Leatherneck, Lady Jaye, and the Crimson Twins. I eventually replaced Lady Jaye in my collection but not the others.

I got hand me downs of Zartan and Stormshadow, each with zero weapons. I don’t think an exchange happed there either, though maybe Stormshadow was gotten in exchange for a MotU figure.
