G.I. Joe Classified Series: The Chatty Pointless Thread & Performance Art

In my head, the news thread is really just where I drop news and this one is where I'm taking any discussion, silliness, or comments that simply aren't news. If Hasbro announces "no new fanstream this month", that I would post in the news.

This is my view of the threads and how I use them, not saying it's the way.

A couple weeks ago I was messing around with head swaps on the Crimson Baroness body and y'know, I wouldn't mind a new Baroness announcement, maybe even an arctic version.
Someone on the local FB group posted the Rattler for either $225 or $250 (no figures), saying the vehicles take up too much space for his basement. I was thinking about driving over to make sure he didn't have a Rattler Baroness for sale.

C'mon Chooch! You say "it is massive" and didn't follow up with a dick joke? This thread is becoming a pale reflection of its former self!

I still stand by it being a villain move to give us such a cool Baroness after no regular releases for years and cram it into a premium package. Hey it's been a minute, should we have another drawn-out conversation on Haslabs and their figures, and if we think it's a good or bad thing that $300+ Haslabs come with desirable figures? No? Okay.

I say sure! I would very much like a HISS Driver and Gunner still, along with Wild Weasel please. Make 'em slightly different, less stuff, whatever. Muted colors or something, I dunno.

Yeah I mean, obviously as consumers we win when they release more. But even the, what, three-year rule they put down, where a Haslab figure can't be rereleased for three years, is lame as hell.

"Sell us an overpriced thing and PROMISE you won't rerelease it for a while or I'll be real mad!" - toy collector

Three years is a long time for an action figure mold. Maybe not so much for Hasbro and Mattel, who will reuse a buck for 10 years, but for a good toyline like Classified, it's way too long.

BTW I was totally kidding about talking about the Haslab thing but here you got me starting fires :ROFLMAO:

Now that I've opened and displayed the Rattler I can safely say I'm good on planes. It is massive.
Yeah I finally hung my Rattler from the ceiling. I used 4 pieces of 30 lb fishing line and anchored ceiling hooks and I'm still slightly concerned. It is way heavier than I expected. I also went ahead and put up the Dragonfly, Trouble Bubbles and the parachuting guys and made a big air battle while I was at it.

Is that a thing? I'm not being snide or saying your wrong, I just don't remember hearing they definitely said that. If that's the case, that makes me feel a little better really. I'll gladly wait three years for Wild Weasel. And the HISS people, I guess 2027? okay, I'll chill out some.

Or, and hear me out:

A *hero* move because in 2026 or 2027 we will get a glorious fist appearance Baroness with all details accounted for, with said details paid for by the HasLab.

Emily said three years on the vehicles so I'm mostly making it up. Cobra Commander didn't take three years.
