G.I. Joe Classified Series: The Chatty Pointless Thread & Performance Art

My Ninja Force 2-pack has been on backorder at Target for a while now, so when I saw it on the shelf at my local Target in their new expanded toy section I had to grab it and cancel the pre-order. Finding Big Boid and Leatherhead in the new expanded collectibles section in electronics was icing on the cake.

T'jbang was my favorite Ninja Force figure as a kid, so I'm quite pleased to have him in the collection. I was surprised at how cool Scarlett's alternate head is too, I'll be hard-pressed to decide which to display her with.

Just got notice that ALL of my Target POs from Hasbro got pushed back to Aug 4. Ninja Force, TF Studio Series, SW retro card sets. Problem is, that when I ordered most of these, it was with a $10 off $50 promotion, so if I find in stores, I’ll lose the discount. I gotta wait it out, but I’m pretty sure Target is ready to cheat me out of these and will eventually cancel those orders.

Damn, aren't slice and dice sold out? And they're just giving them away?

But VERY nice make-up.
Yeah but remember they started showing up at Ross or Burlington Factory for like $13 or something in the past month or two. So they clearly had a lot of stock left and people were getting them for dirt cheap. Don't know about Sarge/Mercer, but I would imagine they weren't a huge seller either. I know I got them up here on Amazon.ca for 30% off, which by Canadian standards is practically clearance. :ROFLMAO:

Pulse says my Scarlett/T'Jbang isn't shipping until October.
I think they must have had some shipping issue recently and it might just be a "safe" date so they can ship earlier and people won't be freaked out about further delays. EBGames is now the official partner for Pulse here in Canada and so they get some of the Pulse exclusive stuff. I snagged the ML Punisher Hulkbuster and it was supposed to ship in July but then they changed the date to.......October 1st.

So hopefully it is just delays and Hasbro playing it safe with expected delivery dates to give them some room.

Bro always has to smudge my Pumas.

Hey no smudging intended. At Canadian prices you basically got Slice & Dice for a buck or two.

Also I'm too old to smudge Pumas, I prefer the older standby of kicking sand in your face on the beach.........NERD!!!!!!!!!!!!! :ROFLMAO:

(Saunters off down the beach flexing his muscles for all the babes to ogle)

Got the delay too. I didn’t get the online discount so I suppose if I see one in store I’ll pick it up but August 4 isn’t that far out. I can wait.

Dang, nice. I checked out my target this morning and it was like, the worst timing, all the shelves were basically empty and it looked like they were starting to restock, then on leaving i got caught in torrential downpour

You should grab her mini in trade.
Only if you ask her first and she consents.

EXPANDED Toy & Collector sections? Both of those sections have been shrinking in all the Target stores near me!

All right guys... the moment you've all been waiting for; I got Overkill today!

He's.... good? He's good. He's a fun figure. I am not as wowed by him as many other people seem to be. I understand that he's a unique tool and a fairly sizeable figure for regular price, so what I'll say is that I would have gladly traded the big dumb laser cannon thing for a second head. Because....

I kinda hate this head. I don't have any problems keeping the face plate in place on mine. It clips in fairly solidly and I can shake the figure all over the place and it doesn't come off as long as I don't touch the face plate itself. My problem is more that, in order to make it a removeable piece, it's really thick and obvious, so it looks pretty not great from every angle. If they had to include the zombie-face head, a look I will literally never use, I wish it had been a whole separate head that didn't make the core ARAH look actively worse.

As a unique sculpt, he has two trigger finger hands. No fists. No 'angry expression' hands. Trigger finger hands. He has one gun that he actually needs to hold, and it does not have triggers. I'm sure the excuse is 'well, you can use other guns for him.' I don't want to do that. I don't need to do that. He would have been so much more fun and expressive with his weapon hands and fists or weapon hands and clawing hands. Trigger finger hands are the -least useful- hands I can think of including with this figure.

His upper torso joint feels like the ball is fused inside. The joint moves, but it feels like I'm pulling on a rubber hand. Like I'm going to snap it if I keep turning. And I find his ankle ratchets are either too far apart or in kind of weird spots. I'm not sure which after messing with him for just a few minutes.

All that being said - I really like the figure a lot. He's lovely, and one of my favorite childhood Cobra figures. It just falls short of the 'best Classified figure of the year' kind of hype I'd been seeing around in some places.
