G.I. Joe Classified Series: The Chatty Pointless Thread & Performance Art

Sorry for the crappy pic but I am having waaaaay too much fun not to share.
DIRE-Creepers are the SHIT and they can fight anyone! They’re coming for Iron Man next!! Quick, Tony, get Doctor Strange to open a dimensional rift!!

Cool toys for fun playing. Awesome.IMG_0439.jpeg

As a kid, Overkill was just the Joe version of Terminator to me. Psycho-murderer AI. Nothing human in there at all. Making him more like (more-) Evil Robocop is a cool twist, but one I also don't necessarily need and I'm not sure if I'll stick with it as my head canon or not.

Late reading this thread, but this is how I always thought of Overkill as well. A sentient BAT, which is more interesting to me than just a cyborg.

And I got notice from Pulse that Overkill will be shipping soon! Can’t wait!

I'm always a little floored by how heat-sensitive this line is. My entire collection of geriatric-hip Vipers work PERFECTLY when a heat wave his Massachusetts and I think everything's fine, then during teh winter the freeze up again. Just doing some reorganizing to grab a few pics and figures that never work right (movie Scarlett, commando Snake Eyes) are all in perfect condition, maybe even gummy. Room's not even that hot either, maybe 78 degrees.

Hasbro responded within hours of my broken zanya claim. They're just going to give me something of equal value, but as always, who the hell knows until it shows up at my door.

Okay I was watching a live stream for a channel called "The Savage Land."

They are pretty Classified heavy on their focus, though not solely focused. Anyway they were talking about what the cost of the line has been, will be, for 2026. It was a bit of an eye opener. However it got me thinking about Classified in total and thankfully Action Figure 411 has a price breakdown from the beginning of the line ($US retail prices).

Ready?

According to their site, if you were to buy just one of each release for Classified as of today, not counting render reveals and name only reveals, at the original "retail" price you would have spent $10,007.04US (not including tax).

That's just Classified, imagine all the other stuff most of us collect............yeesh.........why did I do this to myself?

Oh and sorry for shining a light on it for the rest of you as well.

I once added up all my BBTS orders, had a little cry in the shower, cut myself, and vowed to never do that again.

I tried using one of those sites that lets you add up your collection and find out the going rates on eBay and such and after I did Classified, Star Wars, and Legends, I wanted to self-immolate.

In our defense, the average sportsbro owes FanDuel or Draftkings $5,000 so at least we GET something for our money.

So on another board there was a question about the numbers for Classified pricing from Action Figure 411.

I clarified that they were almost completely up to date excluding the stuff that hadn't been priced yet (upcoming reveals, etc.) Though they did miss the 2026 SDCC exclusives.

Anyway taking a guess at the prices for the outstanding reveals (based on current pricing), I came to a rough estimate of:

$10,495US for everything Classified up to date.

or

$14,683Cdn.

Yeesh.
