G.I. Joe Classified One-A-Day Beamish-Style Poll - #47 - Roadblock (Retaliation)

So I'm not opposed to the character design of Ice Cream Soldier, but I am vehemently opposed to that codename. Its ludicrous, stupid and awful. If this figure got made I may well buy it but would adopt an entirely new codename for it. Brightburn, Flashfire, Igniter... frickin' anything but Ice Cream Soldier.
 
“Ice CreamSoldier” is an allusion to the war time soldiers’ fondness for ice cream. It was a huge morale booster. So much so, that the US Navy, during WWII, had a ship dedicated to the production of ice cream, and the army had mobile ice cream production plants a short ways behind the front line in Europe. This intense moral booster earned US troops an informal nickname of “ice cream soldiers” among other allied troops. It’s implied this Joe chose his code name to honor that legacy.
 
The fact that there is a nostalgia honorific nature to it doesn't make it less stupid as a combat call sign for an individual and I will never use it.

Yes! More out of my love for that run than the character herself being visually striking. Although, I'm sure the Classified team would make her awesome.
