G.I. Joe Classified One-A-Day Beamish-Style Figure Poll - #95 - Dragonsky (Oktober Guard)

Yeah, I definitely preferred v2 and v3 Deep Six BUT if they wanted to go all out and fully articulate the diving suit, I’d be all over a v1 Deep Six.

How did I fall FOUR characters behind?
  • Airtight is actually my #2 most wanted figure right now right after Spearmax. Removable helm and bad hairline is a MUST. His real name is a top five "WTF was Larry drinking that day" names in the entire line and I love it.
  • Flash is ALSO in my top ten list - gotta finish out the old O13! (He was a favorite character of mine as a kid, too - clearly I had a thing for the "laser guys" since Sci-Fi is my most anticipated figure of THIS year.)
  • Viper Pilot - man, he does nothing special, but I do like just having a bit of variety in my generic troops and giving them a head canon backstory. Sure, I'd like him, maybe make his colors mirror the female trooper who came with the the CLAW.
  • Deep Six is a special case. I HATED the figure as a kid because he had such shit articulation, but I would ADORE seeing him fully articulated for Classfiied, absolutely would buy and would prefer he comes with a SHARC similarly sized to the CLAW. I'd also like him in his later costumes, too, but I am TRULY interested in seeing classified make him with full articulation.

You may not have realized that the thing about the one-a-day thread is that it updates with a new character literally every day. It's in the name, you see.

...What?
More specifically, a SHARC that'd fit in a box the size of the CLAW so it can sold be at retail. The Classified CLAW is fucking huge for what it does.

I do like how Classified has attempted to give each of these generic looking soldiers more individuality. I'll admit, I never cared for this wave of original figures, but I respect that they were the first wave. They were very lackluster and really, to me they were essentially green army men with articulation. But the modern Classified interpretations at least give them a bit more personality, from Breaker's bubblegum, to Short Fuze's eyeglasses, to Zap's mustache.

The one thing that actually irks me the most is Scarlett. What's with this leotard she wears? Is that standard military issue? She really sticks out like a sore thumb to me. I know it's an iconic look at this point, but it also just seems sexist to put boys in fatigues and the one girl in a bathing suit. She fits in better with later waves when each character had their own unique design and color scheme.
I swapped the legs out for Covergirls on mine (The first CG) and that looks a lot better IMO. Hell Id have probably just kept using the first one if it had double elbows.

Nah, I'm with him.

Something about this thread ends up where I'm 3-4 behind despite posting here daily.

I don't care about Deep Six, but I'd like to see how they do him.

I always thought his dive suit kept him alive, like Iron Man and his heart. I'm afraid if he is packed with the SHARC, it would bump the price up that much more because of all his unique tooling required to meet his original look. I don't know if a modern, minimalist suit would work with him.

Yes to Bubble Head.

Well one thing with this thread is there's usually a burst of reactions right away then it falls off the "what's new" list as other threads pick up, so maybe that's how you guys are missing it? Or is it something else?

For Deep Six, I definitely have other versions coming up, but would you all prefer one entry per character or cool with different versions getting their own day? Some characters I may not do that, like Zanya I had intended to only do one because her looks aren't all that different, but Deep Six V2 is pretty different from this one.

I think you should/have to keep it the way it is. To limit it to characters instead of looks would mean you'd have to cut back to about one-a-month while we all argue which VERSION of said character is the best/our favorite. This way we can at least try to focus in on the specific version being discussed and give it a yay or nay. I think that works better, at least.

Oooh. I got'cha. I don't know though. The SHARC isn't exactly a small vehicle, even if the CLAW definitely got a size bump for Classified.

I really don't know. I'll check it and see discussion about figures I missed. Might just be my sleep schedule.

My notifications are a little wonky, too. Sometimes I’ll have a favorite thread fall off for a while.

Yeah, the SHARC would be big, though looking at the original with Deep Six standing next to it, I think it’d be maybe 2/3 the size of the Vamp? Maybe?

Thank you for weighing in. I feel the same, but sometimes my opinions are unpopular heh.
