He’d be great for a two-pack with an “unmasked” (in a balaclava) Cobra Commander with his helmet-that’s-also-a-bomb to blow Serpy to kingdom come while reminding him: “you lack the most important DNA of all: MINE.”

That, at least, was a good moment in the DD run.
 
Agree that we need a better crack at the regular Serpentor before we get another version. This version looks like DC’s Kobra.

Lifeline: I actually like that look better, than the all red one.

Sure why not for this version of Ace? However maybe use the design for a "new" (not really) character Wayne Ruthel. The co-pilot they included in the Haslab Skystriker.
 
I need SOME version of Ace. I'd settle for this one if he's all we got. I'd prefer any of his other looks though cos he's a lil boring here.

Annnd I just realized I have, for decades, thought Skystriker, the pilot of the Rattler repaint for Tiger Force, was Ace.
