G.I. Joe Classified One-A-Day Beamish-Style Figure Poll - #246 - Frostbite (Tiger Force)

Wow, I was JUST thinking this Shipwreck could be our first 0 in several months! But yeah, no way is that Shipwreck.

They'd get me with Wild Bill, but there are lots of never dones I'd like before going down the Resolute rabbit hole. I'd get that Shipwreck so I could have not-Jesse Ventura take on not-Predator.

Yes to Wild Bill.

That "Shipwreck", i don't know. Was the real Shipwreck on medical leave for a vasectomy when this guy joined and he thought the name was up for grabs? I mean, I can see this design Classified up looking pretty ok, but it aint Shippy, maybe Raftcrash or Canoeaccident.

That Resolute Wild Bill is very similar to the two we have/are getting. That said: Resolute designs are cool and I’d definitely consider a Classified version of this.

Heheheheh yeah that Shipwreck is “Shipwreck” like Pursuit of Cobra Recondo is “Recondo” . . . and oddly, *both* of those designs look like Gung-Ho. I *do* want an “operator” Shipwreck, but he needs to look like *Shipwreck*. So something like that design, just with a face that actually looks like Shipwreck, is a definite maybe.

I'm actually offended by that Shipwreck. It's like someone who had never seen GI Joe got Gung Ho, Recondo, and Cutter mixed up and called the end result Shipwreck. And while I'm a sailor boy Shipwreck purist I'd absolutely buy a few of his other looks, but that's a mess.

I'm... not sure we need Resolute Wild Bill because that's basically a few links of ink away from what we're getting in the retro? Like that's a great look but I have a hard time saying yes because it's just more mustache.

Right, for some reason there is a consistent Ho-ification of the Joe members.

To be fair, he looks as much like Shipwreck as this looks like Low Light:

Which is absolutely another "doesn't look like who they say it is, but I want it!" figure.

Right, he feels like an international figure.

I know, and I'll be really shocked if we don't get that eventually. And I genuinely hope they don't make him match the first Low Light figure with blonde hair or something.

But by then he'd grown a beard and fallen in love with it, and would rather dye that as well than part with it.

I chalked up that Low Light to dyed hair to match his job.
Me too.

OG Low Light is MY Low Light and always will be, but I do like that version above. I wonder if this line is generous enough to pack in a blond and black haired head for him so we can all be happy. I'd feel pollyannaish saying that about any other line, but Classified more than other lines seems to know its customer base really well.

Alternately, Low Light was frosting his tipsin v1...

We tend to get more stuff in two-packs. So what they should do is a two-pack of V2 Low-Light and V2 Sci-Fi, and call them the 'undercover' versions. Then they've got license to include the original heads for those characters as well, in case you want them 'not uncover.'

I could be sold on that. I'm definitely also a V1 Sci-Fi guy, but like the second version, too. Trying to think of anyone else whose hair color changed in later editions. I think v2 Psyche-Out was far darker blonde. V2 Spearhead's hair was darker, too.

I gotta write some more file cards this weekend.
