G.I. Joe Classified One-A-Day Beamish-Style Figure Poll - #151 - Red Ninja (Post-RAH)

Man, I don’t like the “Throwdown” name, either.
I mean: I get not wanting to give an Asian codename to a ginger white dude. OK. But man . . . I’m honestly not into Sean beyond being Snake-Eyes’ apprentice.

I'd rather they just call him Sean Collins but I'm also like one of four people who wants a Wade Collins figure.
Let's talk about this Wade Collins figure. Do you see a Crimson Guard with an unmasked head? A war-time flashback fatigues figure? Or a post-Cobra, GI Joe member version? I'm kinda into that last one I think.

All three, especially the first two.

We need a full set of the ‘Nam LRRP team.

Okay, I like the way you think. That would make a hell of a Comic Con set, including Ramon Escobedo, and Dickie Saperstein!

I'm kinda in love with a modern Joe version of Wade now. Even if they just pop his head on a repainted Grunt body or the Steel Brigade guy or something.

Hell I'm halfway to trying to put a spare Law head on a Grunt body and calling it Wade.

LRRP Two Pack with fatigue Wade and Tommy
Crimson Guard reissue with like 4 alt heads to cover Wade, Fred VII and a couple other jabronies we've had in this thread.

Heh, right. Well, there's the original Fred, then Wade, and Fred VII, but there were a few who unmasked just to remind you they all look the same when CC returned in his dog-kicking hood around issue 100, and I think he even named them (Fred-roman numeral, etc) in the issue.

You reaction is utterly reasonable.

If they do Dawn, I'm hoping for an alt head because I'm going with a not-Snake-Eyes version, and for Sean, I would like for him to not be Snake Eyes either, and the mask with the thingies on the side along his jaw looks pretty different for me at least, and I'd just go with the Throwdown codename.

I am nothing if not consistently utterly reasonable.

I can't think of anything they could do to make me want a Dawn or Sean. Dawn because everything about her utterly sucks and is ridiculous. It's everything they accused X-23 of all those years ago: a completely edgelord version of 'this popular character, but with boobs.' I hate EVERYTHING about Dawn on an almost primordial level. Her existence within the canon actively offends me.

Sean's problem, for me, is just the SE-clone thing. If he had his own separate costume and was just a disciple of SE? Sure. Sounds cool. Stick him in an SE-wannabe costume? Immediately lame and awful. But if they found a way to make his costume distinctly HIS costume and still pay tribute to his master, that could be cool. I'm just not sure how you do that without just making it 'Snake Eyes, but in brown' - which we already have because Hasbro can never resist a Snake Eyes variant.
