Look, I'm not proud of the fact that my love of dangerous women means I'll by any variation of Zarana they make, but I will buy every variation of Zarana they make, including her Songbird disguise.
 
I like the concept of the Phoenix Guard a lot, even if it's derivative, but probably less a fan of their designs than I am of the Plague guys. So, depending on how Classified went on their looks, i would probably be into only two or three of them, but Zarana's would be one, especially if they give her some cool gear. But which side do I shelve her with?!
 
Day 134b - Alexander McCullen - (Devil's Due) (1/24/26)

Our final entry for Comics Week is the long lost son Destro didn't even know he had until Alexander showed up at a time when the weapons supplier suffered from a debilitating illness. Alexander cared for his father while also assuming his identity and, with the help of Mistress Armada, attempted to take complete control of not only MARS and the Iron Grenadiers, but Cobra as well while keeping his father from improving. After the Joes defeated Alexander, Destro's health was restored, and Destro pledged loyalty to Cobra as well as let Cobra Commander use the Brain Wave Scanner to make Mistress Armada his servant and Alexander essentially Destro's slave.

I was thinking the same thing. I know he was impersonating his dad so they didn't go too hard with that, but having him with more of his own look would make a figure more appealing.

Yeah, I’d buy him, the more differentiated from Daddy the better.

It’s funny: I remember that opening story arc and thinking “ugh damn what a goofy try-hard Destro design” and the twist was “yep, it absolutely is a goofy try-hard IMPOSTER design”, I found that satisfying.
 
Never cared for the storyline but honestly if they can make Alexander separate and distinct from Destro OG, I'd buy him. The red costume in the first pic isn't terrible actually. The try-hard look is annoying until, as Ace points out, it's literally someone trying really hard to be Destro, that's hilarious. Maybe a more distinctive face mask and inverting the classic red-on-black to black-on-red would work.

Yep.
Also: when unmasked, Alex basically looks like classic-animation Destro’s masked features, just as regular skin: basically a handsome, fully-shaven black man. I’d be fine with like a segmented “imposter” mask head (perhaps modeled on the first-wave “new sculpt” Joe v Cobra Destro mask) and then just unmasked Alex as the “regular head”.
I actually kinda dig Alex as a character, irrespective of Devil’s Due. He provides interesting complications for Destro, and keeps things “interesting” in the Baroness/Cobra relationship. I always “see” Destro as being in his 40s, and having like a 19-21 year old punkass kid shoved back in his life is fascinating. Also it seems Mistress Armada is coming, and Alex is her beau.
