Ugh. Hate that skin n tight body armor. I like giving her a more military look rather than her aerobic leotard, but that body armor just doesn’t work.

Sigh, this thread stopped notifying me. So I need to catch up.

-MARS boys: cool Cobra Trooper design, would buy but not as MARS (and yes, Destro’s MARS troops were the initial antagonists of the shitty first Joe movie, before Cobra nanotechnology “Neo-Vipers” took over; “Neo-Viper” is just a name lazily ripped from the first wave of nusculpt figures in 2001)
-Scarlett: that’s some City Strike Scarlett vibes there, I dig it. Urban ops versions of key characters are very welcome.

-Snake-Eyes: BOOYAH that is an absolutely top-tier Snake-Eyes design, “Commando, but with Knight Visor” is apex Snake-Eyes in my view and this nails that. The only way to make this cooler would be to go all the way to the Tim Bradstreet design. I’d buy at least half a dozen of this.

. . . interestingly, this was the apex Snake-Eyes I actually kitbashed from early-wave Retaliation figures without even realizing it. In fact I think I put that distinctive webgear on a couple different bodies with different heads for varying Commando Snake-Eyes looks with and without the visor. I was always trying to maximize the detail and articulation for ever more perfect Snake-Eyeses. Gotta dig those out. I went absolutely apeshit with kitbashing/customizing Joes throughout the 25th anniversary and beyond.
 
Once they do the V3, I would be really happy if they did this concept version, or something like it. It would definitely be my ultimate visor version.
 
It always amuses me that I love the wacky nonsense parts of Joe so much, AND ALSO I get really excited about adding realism and “grit” to Snake-Eyes. There’s totally still that little boy in me that is all “LISTEN Snake-Eyes is SUPER SERIOUS, guys! He could easily defeat Chuck Norris AND he is much nicer too AND he wears a cool knight visor like Rutger Hauer in Ladyhawke AND he has a pet wolf AND a sword AND like the only guy who could ever defeat him is Batman and maybe Darth Vader so TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY!”
