G.I. Joe Classified One-A-Day Beamish-Style Figure Poll - #106 - Thrasher (RAH)

In defense of the last 20 years, it is a whole department. I don't know that it was ever one room. And the show was not funny. Just terrible comedy all around.

Day 102 - Overkill - (Devil's Due) (12/23/25)

Another all new character never done in Classified, Overkill! No, not that one, the other one!

Oooooh creepy Wolfenstein-Cyborg Overkill is cool as hell. I definitely DEFINITELY want this guy, at least as much if not moreso than the v1 pure-robot version.

Cobra must’ve really valued his input to pour so much money and resources into his cybernetics, rather than just writing him off as a loss.
I’d be open to getting him. I’d like to see them push the cybernetic angle though, making them more obvious and artificial looking, rather than appearing like he’s wearing armor.

Yes. In a recent issue of the Hama series he had Coco rebuilding with his usuals (Bludd, Firefly, Twins) and Overkill was there. I thought that an odd inclusion for him, but a welcome one.

In toy form what even is this; the basic troopers in Classified already have that stupid fucking limb armor. So it's just the regular Classified trooper with Bludd's arm and a fancier neckerchief? Nah. I'm good.

I’d get the heavy armored Cobra Commander (Krake?) and the Resolute version.

While I’d get cyborg Overkill, the original fully robotic version is ten times cooler to me.

Day 103 - General Rey - (Devil's Due) (12/24/25)

Another all new character never done in Classified, the leader of the Phoenix Guard, General Rey!

I think this one’s past my reading days. I’m not familiar with Rey or the Phoenix Guard. His design isn’t particularly inspiring. They’ll have to spiff him up some, for me to consider him.

The Phoenix Guard were a new team that were supposed to replace GI Joe, created by Cobra Commander (in disguise) and consisted of in disguise Cobra members. The leader General Rey, was a clone of Serpentor (real original). The rest of the team consisted of Zarana, Copperhead, Wild Weasel, Scrap-iron, and Firefly...in disguise of course.

I missed most of the IDW run, I read the first little bit, than the last little bit before they lost it, so I only know bits and pieces of this arc. Interesting concept, kinda like a Joe version of the original Marvel Thunderbolts. Not sure how well executed it was. Not a bad design, very toy-etic but not in a Joe way. One of the few where I think it would actually help it to tone it down a bit on the 'near future tactical' design to make it fit in with the rest of the line.
