G.I. Joe Classified One-A-Day Beamish-Style Figure Poll - #102 - Overkill (Devil's Due)

Resolute is a great design. Definitely would buy.

Nothing beats the comic book dress uniform with the hood, though.

I love the Resolute design. It's like a more combat-functional variation of the dress uniform he was first released wearing in Classified. That's a fantastic look for him.

Krake, Resolute - Yes
Renegades - No

one just isn't a good toy compared to the other two, at least not in full coat on Hasbro's budget.

I feel like the Resolute was the bases for the first release Classified CoCo. I've been torn on if I wanted first release or retro in my display, and retro only eeked out on top due to a shiny faceplate, but first release I've had sitting on my desk for months because I don't want to give him up.

100b.. I saw this look in the film adaptation of “The Martian Chronicles”. It look better then. This look is a pass for me.
100c.. This I like. I’d be willing to consider it depending on final product.

Day 101 - Med Alert - (Post-RAH) (12/22/25)

Another all new character never done in Classified is the medic from 2006, Med Alert!

I LOVE a medic character. I think Med Alert (I keep wanting to type medi-lert for some reason) would need a costume improvement to set him apart a bit from Lifeline, but one character role I'll always say yes to is a medic.

I'm the opposite of Doc in that I do not care about medic figures. If I had to guess, I think it goes back to not having any as a kid, so my play pattern was always that the medics were back at some base-camp somewhere and injured Joes got taken back there (or just died, I was a pretty heavy metal kid). So medics were basically never 'seen' and so I didn't establish any kind of connection to or interest in them.

I imagine if we ever got like some kind of dio scene for the Joes - like the NECA TMNT sewer lair pieces - all of a sudden I'd feel an overwhelming need for some medics and support staff figures like greenshirts.

Yes to a Classified-up version. Adrenaline junky that worked in an ED transitioning to the military makes sense. The Tai Chi thing would need a little more grace in the updated file card. Is it calming or a deadly martial art? Or is the dichotomy the point? Also, took out a Viper in hand-to-hand is G.I. Joeing 101.

I read this as Erectile Dysfunction at first and I was like yeah 'someone whose dick doesn't work joining the military tracks pretty well, I agree.'
As someone who regularly, for work, writes about the emergency department, the shift (damn, it was like 20 years ago) from calling it the emergency room to the emergency department and swapping ER for ED is to my healthcare writing what calling Logan James Howlett is to my comics writing. It is a petty hill I will die on any day of the week for no reason. ER just sounds SO MUCH COOLER.
