G.I. Joe Classified One-A-Day Beamish-Style Figure Poll - #100 - Cobra Commander (Krake, IDW)/Cobra Commander (Renegades)/Cobra Commander (Resolute)

Design isn’t too bad. A Classified version would probably be pretty cool. I’d be tempted, but like #AceofKnaves said, it would be as the real Cobra Commander
 
This is definitely the difference between 'want it' and 'would buy it.' I'm not over here asking for them to make this, but if they did I would probably buy it.

As CC, though. I don't give a shit about whatever garbage story IDW came up with for this.
 
I do like the design, and while I see the idw stuff as an elseworld story, the whole thing with Chuckles killing CC, then Cobra essentially having a competition to see who could replace him is an interesting concept. (In the IDW comics, Cobra Commander is more a title that is passed down to successors as Cobra is a centuries old, secret organization.

Not fitting with my shelf canon but do like this design enough to get a figure

Yeah, I already said it was stupid. You don't have to keep trying to convince me.
 
I think Damien nailed it - I like the design more than most IDW redesigns and I think it would look boss in Classified, but the whole CC as a title and not a person feels counterintuitive - CC is probably the most distinct character in the Joes lexicon, so not being able to do something with it is a storytelling problem. (Feels like those later comics really struggled with the iconic Joes - trying to replace Snake Eyes and CC over and over again. (Feels like getting the MOTU license and not using He-Man and Skeletor. Or having the Spider-Verse license and not using... oh wait, Sony's already doing that.)
 
Day 100b - Cobra Commander - (Renegades) (12/21/25)

Another Commander to celebrate 100 days, this time from the Renegades cartoon. This is the last weekend before Christmas, so I'm gonna do a third one later today as well.

I love this look, especially the full-mask version. Definitely would buy, one of my favorite alt-looks for CC.
 
Why is his head not the size and shape of a human head? Is he just a robot now? I hate it.
 
I'd actually be very into the Resolute one, likely replacing the CC I have now, but still want the hooded version and would like the Krake one as well.
