G.I. Joe Classified - News & Updates

I wonder if they see a drop in memberships around SDCC every year. Feels like every year this is used as a drive for signups. I find Pulse shipping last the bigger offense than trying to use exclusives to drive memberships. The whole point of a membership is benefits, of course they want you to sign up for early access, and yet how often does every retailer get their stock before Pulse itself? I wonder how many orders they lose every year to Amazon or BBTS when the figures are in stock a month sooner for them.
 
It is WAY more important to keep your major retail partners happy than the (relative) handful of Pulse subscribers. If Pulse reliably got everything first they would be undercutting retail sales and partners might order fewer... so from a business perspective it makes sense.
 
Back when I bothered, I was subbing around Pulsecon so was covered for the 'important' parts of the year. But given that shipping is free when you spend 50 regardless of Premium or not, I was finding that the free shipping aspect was mostly worthless because I'd usually spend enough to qualify without it anyway. That just leaves the exclusive items but as I don't buy mainline Transformers, and very few Legends or Black Series, which are the exclusives that always sell out fast. My main reason to get it would be for Joes...

..but those almost never sell out here. Nemesis Enforcer, Chuckles, Pythona, the Crimson Strike set, Ramp Rats, Movie CoCo are all still available. Combine that with the obscene price gouging this year and I'm just checked out, I'll take my chances elsewhere.

So my membership expires tomorrow and it appears I have to wait until then to renew? When I click on the become a member button it just says I'm already a member.
 
Well, Im down for the TTT. The final shots and stuff have sold me on it. Excited for Hardball, excited for Daina, indifferent to other reveals. Modern Shipwreck maybe.

Flash looks fine and also... maybe a decent Peter Parker head? I'll have to see how it looks when I get it.

psyched for those who like Dreadnoks getting their Thunder Machine, but not for me.

He gets sidetracked quite a bit and can drone on for some time on stuff that really only matters to him. Also I don't understand the logic behind not posting comments on screen when answering them. What a couple days.

Lara was a bear but I got the fig for less than $46 with taxes. It’s one of those figures I will enjoy having on the shelf with Adventure series Indiana Jones.

I want all the offerings but sets like Marauders Footloose and Mutt and Junkyard I’ll let simmer a bit and pick up on a 20-35% off sale or so. I think the red SNAKE if not just a Pulse exclusive I may simmer on too. I two of the original. I do like this fig but while the preorders are spaced out, the release will all come at the same time. May let Falcon simmer too. Could get him for round $20. Ill jump on two Valkyrie and definitely one of Flash.

Triple T has enough value to secure a preorder. I am curious if there is some suspension built into the lower wheel of the treads to get a little bounce. That vehicle is going to be my Sarge and Renegades display diorama. Looks to hold three figs on outside. It looks cool!

I must be just letting my wants talk here but I like the Thunder Machine as it was spoken of not necessarily the render shown. Modular, how? Just removing the things we saw in the render? Swap out different weapons to promote that scratch build nature? I’m not seeing much potential for Noks ganging off the side like Mad Max raiders. I hope pegs on the running boards and handles get incorporated. If not I will mod. I can’t wait for this thing. It’s gotta be $150. I’m plunking my request down as soon as I can.

2027’s first wave seems exciting. Flatline a new Nok? Nice. Sounds like gnarly character. I hope it’s a tall Nok kind of like Big Lob. Big lanky monster like Frankenstein’s creature. Long stringy hair and has a creepy mask option. I want more body types. Daina was definitely teased with Zanya’s accessories. Nice to see a new sub team to explore. New Shipwreck with a different pet. Ok. HEAT Viper is another of those troops I didn’t have. I’m loving the discovery of these for first time in Classified. Initially I was going to skip Frag Viper. Now I have three. Great fig.

40th retro movie line sounds interesting. Don’t AI the card art. Part of the thrill will be the packaging. Don’t just repack Serpentor without including some new for rebuying the fig. I would love a screaming Serpentor head. I’ll buy Pythona again especially if it has awesome card art. That would be a nice collectible. Make a better Roadblock v2. I’m sure cold gear Duke or Duke with rocket pack would be a retro option. Simple Royal Guard soldiers would be fun. If they do Once a Man Commander I hope they give him more tattered clothes. Should be an interesting year. Definitely Golobulus will come from this. Nice capper to the idea.

Interested in the final Target and Walmart exclusives. I’m enjoying the themes they are exploring.

I'd rather have the little non-articulated fox coyote and a regular price point than that mess included with Dusty. Putting it next to the other dogs makes it worse. It's just not a coyote.

And it might be the camera flash, but the coloring on Sandstorm's legs looks off from the body.

Also, old Dusty head on new Dusty body for the win.
