G.I. Joe Classified - News & Updates

And it's not super noticeable because she's got shitkickers on, but her feet are on the wrong legs. FFS. But I can't get the legs off to swap them without feeling like I'm going to break the hip joint. Although I bet I could pop the hip joint off. Or at least pop and swap the feet?

I'm going to have to try it again tomorrow. I couldn't get her legs off and I was afraid I was going to rip the ball joint in her hip trying to get the thigh joint off. She's PASSABLE as is, but it'll annoy the fuck out of me. (Also why I HATE when characters are only available in an expensive vehicle pack or or set. I'd just buy another one and say fuck it if she wasn't 60 bucks.)

Anyway, other than some child laborer putting the legs on backward, she's a fucking glorious figure, the face and details are amazing, her kit's great, and even the skidoo is really fun.

And, outshone by my anxiety about Zanya, Rottclaw is very, very cool. His dinosaur-skin hip armor could've used some drybrushing but other than that he's just very cool and the dinosaur is incredible. THEY FUCKING ARTICULATED HIS TOE CLAWS????? I want fifteen of these, but one will do for now.

Left leg from the thigh down is on the right. Right leg from thigh down is on the left. So she's like, knock-kneed.

Oooh. They're swapped. For some reason my brain was stuck on them actually being like.. backwards, and I'm trying to figure out what kind of stroke you're having to not just turn them around.

Yep. Like I got a Boba Fett whose calves were backwards but looked flipped, but if I spun 'em they were right. This girl's legs are on wrong. I'm actually looking at tips for taking apart Classifieds and I'm wondering if it's easier to swap them at tthe ball joint. There's not too much variation with that very top section but her reversed feet are annoying the hell out of me.

I don't blame you. I'd either have to fix her or return and get a new one because I could not tolerate that.

I'm 99% sure I should just swap her at the actual hip/ball joint instead of the thigh. I didn't notice the fuckup until I'd trashed all the packaging so returning might not be an option.

Buy another one, take the good figure, put the bad figure in, and just return it as defective. No different than if you returned that one and bought a new one.

AND take pictures and tell Hasbro.

I picture two goofballs who have your address flagged so they can make sure the defective ones always get sent there. I know I'm a paranoid person but this pattern is too apparent!

Received Zanya/Chameleon, Rottclaw/Deinonychus via Amazon.

Rottclaw is fine, gotta mess with him some more. The Dino is fun, but Mattel spoiled me on JP/JW Amber/Hammond Collection, so I’m less enamored. I don’t love the blinder helmet, the jaw brace won’t stay on well.

Zanya came out great, no QC issues, though she came with two left fists. I don’t love the holster for her back, it won’t peg closed when the revolver is holstered. And it won’t fit with her hair. So I’ll stuff it in the Chameleon with the lame shotgun. I doubt I’ll ever display her with the helmet.

The Chameleon is fine, but it’s not for her. This was always gonna be for Zartan to complete his look from the vintage figure. Would be nice if both could change color in the sun though.
