I'm not too worried about that. There is lots of product in the pipeline that hasn't been revealed including the SDCC exclusive and Haslab.I don't think it's weird that there's no Joe news. Yo Joe June is right around the corner.
Speaking of Haslab I am starting to wonder if they might be cutting back on them this year in favour of MTO offerings instead. I took a look and last year there were only 4 Haslabs (TF, Classified, SW:TVC & Tron).
Tron failed to fund. Then (in order) the final totals for the other 3 were:
Clone Gunship - 10,541 (target was 8,000)
TF Liokaiser - 12,622 (target was 10,000)
Snow CAT - 16,437 (target was 8,000)
This is the first time in recent memory that at least one Haslab didn't get to at least 20,000 backers. The numbers were pretty low on average for the Haslabs last year. Lots of reasons I'm sure but I don't think the economy and overall fiscal environment is any better this year. So do they maybe forego some, or all, Haslabs this year?
I ask because last year the TF Haslab started funding in February and ended in March. Joe was July (June 30th) to August. SW was July to September and Tron was October to November. So yeah there is lots of time left for Haslab projects but we are now 4 months into the year with no hints of anything on the horizon. The Snow CAT and Gunship definitely got hurt by crossing over a bit with funding and I don't want to see that again. Also I wish they would stay away from the end of the year as well with holiday spending eating into options as well.
Anyway, might they be a bit gun shy this year with everything going on and the fairly weak numbers of last year? Again I don't imagine they'll skip doing a Classified Haslab, but it seems like they aren't doing much overall with Haslabs compared to last year at this time (with one funded Haslab already on the books by this time last year).
