My hope is for a version with the much-darker original toy colors, as opposed to the lighter “Sunbow” greys of the initial release. Also hopefully more intense eye-print à la NF Shockwave.
And a better submachine gun.

I do *also* want the green version.
 
Yeah, I like the look of the second one we got. But I find both of mine lacking friction in the hips and torso.

I'd take any upgrade.

The Green one Is the one that got away from me. I found him at a drug store but I was given the option of alternately getting a vehicle. One of those weird adult deals where even if they offer you a higher priced vehicle, you can't parlay that into just two or three figures of equal cost. So I took the submarine instead. The one that went underwater with baking soda.
 
My thing with the green one is that it’s just objectively less intimidating than the original design, which is maybe the best villain design in the first few years of ARAH. It’s a fun alternative. Also the headgear looked really stupid and needs an upgrade. Looks like he’s wearing a baseball cap.

Retro Firefly is almost a lock just because I love the character. Unfortunately, I've finally ventured into having multiple versions of characters who aren't Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes, so... this could come at the right time.
 
Darn you Hasbro & Target! You got me to toy hunt for my Cobra-La guards after I swore I wouldn’t and of course they were nowhere to be found, at least near me. Now I have to keep reminding myself not to eBay them and wait for my preorders.

I did mange to see most of Big Lobs wave. First time I have seen a current wave on pegs in a long, long time. Of course the only two I wanted Big Lob and Lifeline were the only two missing.
 
Found the Cobra-La Royal Guard at Target today. Another figure I had as a kid that I never thought they'd revisit in a million years. Glad I was wrong, this rules. Definitely will need to get another to flank Serpentor on his throne.
 
I picked up Maximum Royal Guard at Target today. Was happy the long week was over, felt like doing a good old fashion toy pick up from a brick n mortar, showed the DPCI to an employee, he kindly fished it out of the back for me.

This guy is really impressive. Paint and accessories are both top notch, the sculpt is great. I like the cape, if they aren't going to do wired soft goods, this is the next best thing. The material is nice, it drapes well, it's not stiff and curly at the edges like you sometimes get from other companies. When you get the level-up accessories on this guy, he just blows up. The wings look great (hinges would have been nice). He's about $8 more than I'd like him to be but I can see where all the money goes. Awesome!
