I lost my shit over Action Man being expensive the other day but just preordered Dusty because you know what I cannot skip? ANIMAL SIDEKICK. These motherfuckers could make a whole animal sidekick sub-line and I'd buy every one of them. Doctor Mindbender and his bonobo. Flint and his fox. Destro and his owl. Baroness and her Sphinx cat.
 
Just to get this out of the way - I am WILDLY disappointed that the Joe team is STILL using that fucking side-to-side wrist hinge right hand - this time on Dusty. Get all the way fucked with that. You've made your fucking money, you cheap fucks. Make a new goddamn hand.

Everything looks fantastic, though. Despite being angry about it, I'll get Dusty for sure. I'll -probably- end up with the Rescue guy because I'm a sucker for winter stuff. Absolute 'fuck yeah!' to Iceberg. He looks great. And a must-have. Rugged Duke is like.. a good Duke figure that I actually like? I know, I'm surprised too. I might actually have to get him. Toxo-Viper looks awesome and yeah... need that goddamn figure too. Jesus, Hasbro. Slow down.
And motherfucker, if Mistress Armada doesn't look awesome. Someone I outright said 'don't need or want and won't buy' turned into 'well... I kinda need that.'

I don't really care about Synapse at the moment, but these silhouette reveals do absolutely nothing for me. They don't make me excited. They just get me fucking annoyed. Either show it or don't.

I do wonder what the Retro Cobra Valkyrie is going to look like. I dig the idea, but as I've often said in the past, I think the Cobra rank-and-file troops have way too much detail and armor and shit on them to look like basic troops, so I tend to ignore them. Curious how this turns out.

And Flash is coming, but I don't care.
 
So...

Dusty/Sandstorm look great. Still don't like the mask. The price in Canada is around $70 so they can go fuck themselves. It's a mainline release so I'll wait for a sale/clearance. Especially since Law & Order right now is available on sale for $37Cdn on Amazon.ca and EBGames. Plus I got a second Desert Scorpion for $38+tax on Amazon.ca last week.

Avalanche Response looks great, but why wouldn't it with it being mostly Snow Job? Overall a good offering for the Legacy subline.

Iceberg looks great. I kind of miss the light blue/green colours, but the grey works well. Love the snowboard and the colour being green is growing on me. Guess they have everything they need now for a V2 Snow Serpent.

Rugged Duke looks great as well. I guess they are holding off on Energon Duke until the possible animated show. I like the bearded look for Duke.

Toxo-Viper. Lenny loves giving the newer Cobra troops those "afflicted" faces. This looks fantastic and I love the accessories.

Mistress Armada is my favourite of the next wave. I do wonder if she would look better without the all silver legs and arms? Maybe a gold? I wonder if the helmet gold will clash with the silver limbs? Her accessories are all fantastic though.

Synapse looks interesting. Looks like a character Lenny had fun with and went to town on the design. That "arm" coming out of the back has six fingers so probably either robotic or mutated.

Retro;

Falcon probably isn't really needed but it is what it is and we are getting another version. I'll wait to see how it looks.

Valkyrie will be fine. Should be the lighter blue like the retro Cobra Trooper. It will be interesting to see what accessories she gets.

Flash. Well there we go.........OG 13 don........WHAT? NO!!!! We aren't done until we get silver pads Grand Slam. Nice try Hasbro!! 😜


And yeah I found it interesting that B-Mac mentioned a retail partner was requesting an animal pack. God I hope it is one of the big boys who can sway Hasbro to make a set.
 
It was lost on me that they said Flash would be soon. If I have my O13 by December 31 (unlikely I know but a boy can dream) I may need some alone time in my bunk.
