Was it a concern that the King Cobra Commander thing was gonna be a Con exclusive? The initial leak made it seem like it would be available to retailers.

Could be just another case of one thing and it gets "telephoned" through enough people that it becomes an SDCC exclusive. Either way it is now official so we just have to wait and see what it looks like.
 
I thought there was talk of it being SDCC or PulseCon. Or maybe I just thought that because of the odd form factor? Or I'm dumb. Don't rule out a combination.
 
My only question would be is this design a revamp of an old 1/18 version, a hybrid of some previous ones, or an all new design.

It does look like we have a darker blue on the arm than on the Retro, still a long glove so *maybe* at least the same arm sculpt, hard to tell. The “easiest”hooded Coco would definitely be just the Retro bodybut in dark blue/gold/red. Although TECHNICALLY that would be accurate to v2 since v2 (and v1, actually) did not have the long gloves. That said: I like the long gloves and am fine with them being the “basic look” of the current v1/v2 outfit.
 
BBTS is increasing the hype. Then Dan Larsen is going to help the streams! I’m feeling quite excited and it seems they are creating an event here.

Honestly I’m surprised it’s going to be even that wide, given how reticent they have been about the facial covering. I was expecting a Pulse exclusive.
Regardless:
If the hood’s on the guy,
Ace is gonna buy.

The HCC will be packaged with that crown so he looks like Baron Zemo. He may be seated on the throne with a scepter in one hand. Going to play up the King of Cobra look.

Pretty cool.
