Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions

They did say they'd release the Warrrior and the Nymph later with fewer bonus parts. I definitely want both but as long as I can get the normal human head on the male exclusive and the standard nymph head on the female figure I'll be happy.

Yeah, but I want the exclusive Gorgo 2.0 helmet in the darker colors. It’s the exclusive parts that really sell it for me. I was so tempted to drive to Jersey to go in person this year. But it’s actually cheaper to just buy on eBay.

That was me with the set last year. I really really wanted specific exclusive parts that didn't come with the individual normal release figures. I'm kinda relieved this year I really only want the base versions cos I have absolutely been tempted to drive to Jersey in the past. (I really want this year's barbarian too, but not enough to chase it since I really only want one head.)

Yeah. And I do want the exclusive parts to Sir Valgard, too! Wish the exclusives were easier to get.

their con-exclusive parts are a huge turnoff. early releases? fine. I can wait for a release down the road.

I live on the west coast. It’s not economically feasible to travel across the country just to buy some exclusives. At least most SDCC exclusives are now offered online. The 4H seem to be going the other way.

If the Valguard army builder isnt offered as its own figure down the road…for shame.

I’m gonna wait to see if Big Bad gets the over stock like last year’s two packs, but if I gotta end up going to eBay for the two I want the ‘cslusie parts for (the Nymph and Scaphoid 2.0) it’s still far cheaper than flying to Jersey and staying in a hotel for two days for a tiny one room show… and then being stuck in Jersey for the rest of the day when the doors close for the evening.

But I shouldn’t have to though, it’s insane they’re not only still doing IT’S EVEN MORE SHIT.
-FOUR FUCKING FIGURES WITH UNIQUE LOAD OUTS
-TWO FIRST AT SHOW DROPS
-A bunch of stupid helmets for the Gladiators in addition to the little gold items they don’t even give you with the retail ones!

It’s ridiculous

If it helps your sense of verisimilitude at all, it's worth noting that heavy armour was worn in ship-based combat all the time throughout history, right up until armour stopped being a thing. Turns out, the vast majority of seafaring humans couldn't swim, so armoured or unarmoured they'd be dead if they fell in the water.
By that logic my entire Mythic Legions collection has actually been a seafaring display all this time, but alas, I was hoping for more human characters that read as nautical at first site... ones that could scurry up and down the rigging and swab the deck, or even a musician to keep them entertained. Though I do appreciate the historical factoid and the use of verisimilitude in a sentence on an action figure forum.

Would also have liked to seen more maps, globes, spyglasses, navigational tools as accessories instead of more spears etc, but that might just be me.

Anyone know when the Warrior/Revenant might go up for sale? Did they announce?

So the crab monster may be off the list due to size... He'll be like $120 or something crazy and I'm not sure I have the shelf space for such a behemoth. But I think I may want two Walrus dudes...

I don’t think the regular edition dates have been announced yet. Just ‘some time after Legions Con’ was all they’ve said. Might not be until after the first of the year. Likely the same with the other Legions Con debut figures.

If there were any exclusive editions left over, they’ll be going to BBTS. Again, unknown date or availability.

$450 for all in. Not unexpected, but ooof. Crab man, you are rad, but in this economy… (I’ll cherry pick the ones I really want and chance my arm with BBTS or such if I have regrets.)

The crab warrior is tempting, but I'll probably skip him...too many things I'm wanting right now, with too little money or space to indulge.

The mermaid lady really makes me want to see the 4H do a Medusa in this line. Hell, I'd be down for several monsters from Greek Myth...I think the minotaur is the only one they've done so far.

I feel bad I saw Mondo’s beautiful 200X Clawful and bocked (appropriate, I know) at the idea of spending $95 on a giant crab monster who’s basically a statue… but now I have no problem of spending that much on his non-union palette swapped equivalent…
