Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions

Not really what I was expecting with the necropolis tease. The monster set at least has some zombie parts so that fit the tease a bit than the vampire colored elves. I like them fine enough just not what I was expecting.

I'm so tired of them pumping their pricepoints by selling me parts for 1.5 figures and then needing to store the 0.5 figure worth of parts I'll never use. It's a dick move in this economy to not just separate these deluxes into separate releases.
Agree with this 100%

The re-use is so tiring, but I do like the look of these, especially the elf dude. Of course my favorite heads are only with the exclusives, so that sucks for me I guess. May or may not buy them down the line when the release regular versions, but I do feel burnout starting to set in, so we'll see.

It’s nice none of the exclusive parts are ones I need for once.

The “Ghost Rider” skull is fun in concept, but I don’t really like how that three piece spirit flame skull is built, and I have two flaming knights coming when the dragon ships anyway.

So I’m fine with that guy being just an albino minotaur (and I skipped the Urzok 2.0 so it’s a mostly unique build for me)

I love the Gresha helmet, or so I thought… been hoping he’d get a 2.0 or All-Star reissue so I could army build a whole thieves guide in matching red and purple armors, so if you told me “you want him in alternate colors too?” I would have said “of course! Take my money!” but the black and silver repaint does nothing for me.

I do like the grey elves though (and I assume they match the Nymph/Tharice so I guess I’m building out that coven even more…) but since this is just extra heads no exposed flesh I think I can just root around in my fodder pile and find something for them (I think that up coming Vampire Archer has some potential, though their warm light brown boots and gloves may need a repaint)

I think this is the thing that has truly burned me out on this line. I actually considered picking up the vampire archer from the preorder last week but I got pissed off that I'm going to have to find a home for a chest piece with no limbs to go with it and refused.

I actually really like the ghost elf's color palette, but the parts overload has gotten boring.

I think the longer you've been a Mythic collector, the worse it is. But they're really, really good at mixing parts you already have 50 of with parts that you really want. That's how both these reveals fall with me. Love the colors, though.

I will say, like Runestone Cowboy mentioned, if I was a newer Mythic collector I'd really appreciate all the part rereleases.

I don't know how successful I'm going to be, but my goal is to really cut down on the convention/all-star/reinforcement releases that are mostly built off existing parts, and focus on the new stuff released in the named waves, which has all been great, lately.

Is the minotaur on their massive body?

I've more or less sworn off 4H, but I would like a minotaur for my collection. Then again, Xesray's Kasos might be the path of least resistance there.

Here's the deluxe monster figure with the purposefully misspelled name.
If I were new to this line, I could see the appeal of these figures (first time they've re-released the Gryshaa helmet to my knowledge), but they don't really fit my existing collection.
This is the only one I'm tempted by, but I feel like I'm on my way out of Mythic Legions altogether after years of only getting a trickle of them. All I have left is a Red Death and a Frankenstein's Monster, and I think I'll only have one of those by the end of next week.

I also kinda think for me it's WHICH parts they give extras of. Like, I have no asses to attach to those torsos, man. I ain't got no LEGS. I'd Frankenstein more figures together if I had more lower body parts.

I’m kind of surprised none of these 3D printed Legions after market parts dealers make hip boxes, necks, and a fuckin’ centaur adaptor.

There’s limitless potential of using Mythic Legions heads on other bodies (they’re scaled to the excellent Legends Tombstone suit body… if you can find a neck!) using extra toros on horsies, and cobbling together all the extra body parts if someone would just start making ‘em…

And if it’s they’re afraid to copy the Horsemen’s design too closely they’ll get sued: Give’em ass checks. You’re welcome, solved your design issue start printing!

It occurred to me after I made my last post that the ass does not exist in Mythic Legions. It is a land truly without cake of any variety.
