As an aside, I LOVE that the sharing options at the bottom of threads do not include X née Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. *chef's kiss*

THIS. There are a lot of things I can't give up in life but Twitter was not one of them. I refuse to click a Twitter link and give that jackass a cent of ad money.

I use Instagram out of necessity. At least until Bluesky fully launches Flashes, their competitor app. But you won't see me willingly promoting Twitter or Facebook. Fuck Zuck and triple fuck Elon.

I'm happy with fewer emojis - a thumbs up is plenty for me. Though, is there the option to make custom ones? It'd be pretty cool to have a "Fwoosh!" emoji...

My wife to the rescue again. I think the mail issue originated from missing DNS records. For those who don't know, it's a pretty simple fix. I didn't even think to look, but she did.

I'll know for sure by the end of the day.

I just want to note how refreshing it is to see an issue acknowledged, let alone addressed. Emails from the Fwoosh forums broke so many times over the years, even before Wordpress. And you'd post the issue in the support forum, only to be met with crickets...

I actually wrote my own app that scraped the page of recent threads and sent emails to myself, but then they moved to Wordpress and I thought everything would be fixed. Boy, was I wrong...

So happy to have this place. Thanks, TSI!

I got locked out of my account for months and messaged Fwoosh staff on social media for the duration with no answer. I finally paid money to join the Fwoosh Patreon and messaged Robo there and he was able to get me back in finally.

So yeah, this place is fantastic just for the responsiveness of TSI.

Since I’m an Apple user, I opened AT in Safari and added it to my home screen and enabled push notifications. It behaves and functions like an app. Loving it even more now!

It's possible that you're not receiving emails again. My server email address only allows me to send 50 emails per hour because the account is less than a week old. That number goes up every week until the account matures at 30 days. You may have spotty email notifications until we get to that point at the beginning of May.

After 30 days, the account can send 500 emails an hour. I won't be taking any further action until at least then. That should be sufficient until we have ~550 members.

I do like the laugh. I think that it’s an important distinction.

I was this old when I realized the subject title is bold when there are new comments in that thread and that it ads your icon to subjects you’ve commented on.

I wish the bold were a little more distinguished. I sometimes have trouble seeing them apart.

I might look into stylizing it further/differently.

Yes, my old eyes struggle to differentiate the two. A color change or italicization would be helpful if possible.

I can see it fine (which is rare bc my eyes suck) but a color change makes sense

perhaps making the thumbs up be a bright green, and leaving the laughing emoji the stock yellow? Here's a quick mock-up of how this site's thumbs up would look for this idea.
