Fix a Figure

How would you fix them?
My answers are mostly very boring.

Coipel Thor, classic Loki, Green Goblin, Kitty, Beta Ray Bill, and Squirrel Girl all need unique sculpts or a ton of new parts.

I'd be happy with Elektra on the new Psylocke body and Black Cat on the deluxe-ish Black Widow body, though I prefer Felicia to be thicker as well.

Yeah.. I don't think it counts as 'fixing' Coipel Thor because I do think they need to just start over. Great figure for its time - possibly one of the best MLs for at least a couple of years, honestly. But showing its age at this point. Needs proper modern ankle articulation, butterfly joints, deeper cuts in the elbows for better ROM, extra hands, and better ROM at the neck - at the very least.

Pyro could use a glow up. Polaris and Havok. Polaris isn't awful, but Havok has those gummy shitty legs that keep bowing out. They could both use some new legs for the very least. And I know alot of people want a new Iceman. I don't mind the ones I have, but he could be better. XForce Psylocke, on the new body. Most of mine would be XMen since that's mainly what I buy now, and I see some glaring examples of needed updates.

Iceman on the same pinless body as Anti-Venom Suit Gamerverse Spidey. It’d do wonders for the transparent parts. Plus a smoother head sculpt for the Jim Lee team would be great since the “ice block” head looked weird.

Marvel Select really went all out on theirs and I’d be all over one with a similar finish.

Second these three, even if I think the latter two are coming soon. I wonder - has anyone swapped newer legs onto the Bucky buck? I wonder if the Training Suit three-pack male legs would work for the old Havok. It would be missing some straps and color issues, but he might be able to stand. :)

I was born to post in this thread.

Beta Ray Bill is a start from scratch. Do any other costume he's got practically. Ideally the classic, but the gladiator helmet one that Diamond did is solid.

TSI's list is great, agree with every pick.

I'm gonna focus on one corner for a bit - F4.

Reed needs to be on a new body, one of the last few A-list characters in my collection that still uses that Pizza Spidey body. Give him at least the pinless Sunfire body.

Sue needs to be on any updated female body. Could be Shriek, could be Phoenix or Carol Danvers.

Johnny needs an opaque figure that is flamed on.

Ben needs plate style rocks and to be the same height as Reed.

Namor needs pinless limbs in that speedo outfit.

Doom needs fewer details for a classic look.

Dragon Man needs a rubber chest overlay to hide those butterfly joints (jk).

Don’t know if this quite qualifies as a “fix”, but Cobra! Hasbro missed the boat with their King Cobra release. It wouldn’t have taken much to give us an a classic Cobra off that same figure. Even just a swappable short cape would’ve shown some effort.

I know. I always loved this Havok look and I'm glad we got it, but having to try and reform his knees every time I try to move him in the display is annoying.

Aren't there a bunch of Cyclops figures that have those same straps? I actually only just rotated Havok back into the display so I hadn't noticed the jelly legs yet.

I've complained plenty about a few, but here's some stuff that comes to mind:
  • Quasar with a headsculpt and slimmer look that actually evokes how he was drawn by Capullo. (as much as I love Harding-- his preferences towards 70s and early 80s looks make him a terrible pick for Capullo Quasar)
  • Put Mar-Vell on a bulkier body (Vulcan?), with brighter reds and GLOSSY dark blues, Base the headsculpt on Starlin art, instead of basing him off art from a storyline where the whole point is that it isn't Mar-Vell at all.
  • I'd really like a Loki with some effort. The existing one does little but fill a place.
  • Why the hell does that new Adam Warlock not have a stoic head? Is he forever constipated? Maybe also the second to last costume I'd pick for a new Adam, assuming we're not going to get another Adam for another 5 or so years.

Absolutely there with you. A brighter colorway and classic garb would be great. Oh and legs that don’t snap at the thigh! I’m on my third Cobra figure now because of that.

My biggest issue with Hellcat is the terrible yellow paint coverage on her lower legs. Ia contemporary female body molded in yellow with boots and gloves molded in blue and a new headsculpt would be great. I love the idea of an extra Greer Nelson head as well.
