Popped open the Jersey Devil and he really looks better in hand. The proportions feel better and there really is a palpable horror to him.
I wish 4H, and honestly, pretty much EVERYONE, would make better, more stable wing pegs. I know it's because they want them to be more modular but I always wish every pair of 4H wings had pegs that were twice the depth that they are to provide more stability. I hate to say it but I'd kill for the secure attachment/stability of a Hasbro wing peg on the Devil (and the Mythic Legions angels and demons, too).
Same with the tail - that ball joint really never wants to stay put. I just finished fighting with the same design for Monkey King setting him up in my office last week - really needs a deeper peg. (Giggity)
Stumpy wing pegs aside he's a very dynamic figure though. Really curious how they reuse some of these parts.
EDIT: Also, my gawd, they still need an editor for their print materials. "Lochness" Monster and "monikor" in the insert booklet in the same paragraph.
