Figma Video Game Figures

wish they'd chill out on the gooner school girls and furries and just toss us something new.
Considering that their main consumer base is overseas and not the US, that's makes sense. Those are popular categories in the East.

Amiami says "released" but I think they're holding onto mine until they're mostly sure that US customs won't destroy it...

Seems like the issues are pretty widespread, a lot of copies in Japan are missing beard paint.

I normally order from GoodsmileUS for the pricing but I’m really hating their no cancellation policy in this case. I emailed them just in case and they basically told me to kick rocks.

I got my shipping notice for Byleth from Good Smile US. She and Terry Bogard were my two mains on the original Switch version of Super Smash Bros. I hope she turns out well. I used to be a big Figma collector back in the day, but between the prices, the QC, and the general character selection, I probably average one a year now if even that.

Figma is making First Descendent figures, and their first actual figure (not nendroid) is the healer my friend mained. She also doubles as a sci fi helmet lady, but now I need to wait to see if Toxic Alternative Woman and Doctor Thighs become available from when I played briefly.

I'm eight years late, but I finally got the Metroid Prime 3 Samus. I've heard this figure is limited—and she undoubtedly is in certain spots—but I'm seriously impressed.

I'll start with the bad. The range in the elbows and torso could use some help. The elbows get just past 90 and the forward crunch is nonexistent. I wish she came with a second head where you could see her eyes peering through her visor. The neck is just a hinge joint covered by a loose piece of gray plastic—a very 2016 solution.

My main takeaway is that she's a blast to pose. She doesn't come with a ton of accessories, but everything she comes with is additive. I love the thumbs-up hand in particular. The legs are fluid in that way you only see with import figures. Some toys are a pain in the ass to balance—not this one. She's a character that lends herself to great poses. Crouched, shooting, standing, whatever. Samus is a badass.

I never know how to classify rerelease figures, but if she were eligible for my figure of the year, she'd land in the top five.
