Extremis Iron Man and Mandarin Two-Pack

What are the other LaRocca designed figures they’ve released? I’m guessing the modern Living Lightning, and Detroit Steel? And now this Mandarin.

AOA Gambit and X-Treme Wolverine? Not sure that he "designed" them per se, but he did the bulk of the art and used for reference, which ended up on the box art as well.

Yeah the all-energy Living Laser and Detroit Steel are from that comic run. And Bleeding Edge Iron Man, which could use an update as well.

I still want a figure of Ezekiel Stane.

Technically, Hasbro could repaint Detroit Steel into red and black to make Mandarin’s daughter, Sasha Hammer. And her troops.

I’m referring specifically to the Iron Man run that these figures came from.

Didn’t we get a Comic inspired Rescue figure? She debuted in the Fraction/Larocca run

It exists, but is a tough figure to find because it was from the Marvel Unlimited digital comic subscription.

Definitely worth a mainline redux then because that figure is probably worth a redo. That had to have come out prior to the What if: Punisher venom, Terror Inc Deadpool and the Daredevil Yellow figure

It used a lot of parts from the original Extremis sculpt, back from the bubble card back days. Good size but very dated articulation.

That size probably would be better for Pepper in armor. But yea, definitely needs new everything. Thats why I kinda want the new Extremis. Mine is showing its age and I didn't wanna buy it again, but now I feel like I should. I really like the armor and design. Its in my top 5 fave armors.

The Extremis armor really is one of Tony’s best armors full stop. I like the simplicity in the design because it harkens back to some of the sleek classic suits he wore back in the pages of Strange Tales, but it has the sophistication and tech of the modern era. He looks like some bizarre automaton from the 30’s, but he can store the suits under sheath in the hollows of his bones, he can tap into any piece of technology with a mere thought. He can fly at speeds of over Mach 20, self heal from any wound. Breathe in Space and under water and so much more. What an incredible blending of the new with the old. It’s like the Phalanx but if it were designed by humans

Totally agree. The Extremis Armor is peak Iron Man. Very physically powerful, fast, and innovative with how it gave Tony expanded consciousness and integration with digital tech. And the design is both imposing and sleek like a sports car.

And he made another comment about how this range still seems blocked by something, still not giving the crunch the full range it could have. I think it's got to do with the detents in the abs. It's not clearing as far front or back as it could go. I have no intention of dissecting the figure to find out though.
Don't worrry, I'm already in the process of figuring out what the hell is going on with it, but i think you're right. The bar that connects the lower pelvis to the ab piece only has 4 detents in it and only really has room to do the one click.. I think I shave them down so there's sill friction, but they don't actually hold anything in place.

Nailed it. The Thunderbolts set Ghost is also from that era but wasn't a Larroca design.

Also while certainly not a Larocca design, the Controller appeared in that run. And so did the Winter Guard and Norman Osborn during the World’s Most Wanted arc
