DC Studios Movies and Streaming Series Discussion

I was eating at a cafe in London in 2014, and I realized Terrence Stamp was sitting at another table. I didn’t want to bother him, but I did kneel down to “tie my shoe” near his table at one point so my then-girlfriend could get a photo of me “kneeling before Zod”.
Seriously though: he’s one of my acting idols. My favorite role of his is Bernadette in The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

And to keep things on-brand: did you know he played Dracula onstage during the revival of the Hamilton/Deane stage play in the late 70s, with sets by Edward Gorey? He took over the role for a time after Frank Langella in a chain with other luminaries like Jeremy Brett and Raul Julia.

I saw that when I read his obit. I was going to mention it, but then I thought nah. I'll let my AceofKnaves do it. That's his bailiwick.

Just watched episode 1 - so glad I waited for my kids to go to bed before doing so.
 
Years ago before we had children my wife and I were still able to dress up and go to bars for Halloween. One year a bunch of us did a Batman theme. My Two-Face costume got a lot of complements. But my brother's GF at the time went as White Rabbit. We already had a Poison Ivy and a Catwoman and this girl had the figure that could pull off the revealing costume. So even though no one at the bar knew who D-list White Rabbit was, she won first place in the costume contest.

A few years later we went out again. This time brother had a different GF going as slave Leia in a very authentic looking slave Leia costume. Once again, brother's GF had the figure to completely pull off the skimpy costume, and this GF too took first place in the costume contest.

Go get 'em, brother.

I know. I'm glad I watched that alone. Lory was tired and went to bed early.

I mean, I liked the episode, but ... that was a bit much. When they say it's rated R, they're not kidding.

I did some Googling to see if this is the same White Rabbit I remember from the 90s Superman/Steel comics.

It is not.
 
I feel like I’m the only person that didn’t like Harley from day one of her BTAS appearance to current day. Not sure what I’m missing that everyone else sees, but it’s most certainly a me thing. I’m that way with a lot of things though. Matrix, Indiana Jones, etc. I keep trying because I think something will finally click with me, but it never does.
