Tim Burton's Batman III :D

(Imagine if, within the same year, audiences got both The Batman II and Batman III.)

I have another bold prediction: Superman unmasks Ultraman and it's Henry Cavil. James Gunn then silences all "Restore the Snyderverse" haters.
I know you're joking, but I'd absolutely love a continuation of the Burtonverse. There's been 2 sequel comics now and they've both been pretty darn good in my opinion- been great seeing characters he never got around to like Robin, Two Face, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, Riddler, etc. I know we got those and the Flash (which only semi-counts in my book), but I think it's still such a shame they screwed him over on a 3rd film because of how dark Returns was, only for the franchise to go quite dark a decade later. Nowadays they'd be throwing cash at him to keep him on board. Being the huge Scarecrow fan I am, I'll always be bummed we never got one more movie post-Batman and Robin. I've read the scripts that are out there, and would they have been terrible? Yeah, probably. But seeing a 90's era Scarecrow hamming it up on screen would've been right up my alley.

Ultraman being Cavill would be a Shyamalan-worthy twist. But it would also just add more fuel to the Snyder Fanboys' fire- they'd see it as a jab somehow. I'm kinda torn on Ultraman in general; either the reveal is gonna be really cool and surprising, or it's just gonna be a nobody that the audience doesn't know or care about. Not sure which I'd prefer (though, in all honesty, not being a Superman fan, I don't really have any preference). I like the rumors I've heard that some folks think it may be Supergirl. Ultimately, it just depends how it's played.

Studio's have such a different mindset these days. The super hero movie franchise was relatively new in the early 90s. McDonald's didn't know how to market the Happy Meals from such a dark movie and WB got gun shy. Today we all know the audience can handle a Burton Batman movie. If I were a betting man, I'd say it's at least on Gunn's radar.

I don't care about Ultraman in general, his reveal, if there even is one, would have to be pretty big. Some of those Snyder fan posts are so out there that I wonder if they were even written by a human. Like you've never seen a roll in a movie be recast before.

I guess I’ll see for sure on Friday, but it seems pretty clear that Ultraman is going to be a familiar Superman-franchise character under there, most likely Bizarro.

I assumed that too, but with the picture Gunn released of Ultraman all beat to hell, I think he may be the seed for Doomsday for a later movie. I still think it'll be a Superman clone, but that's the twist of it all.

Okay, the reviews are good. Early box office tracking is good.

Now I just hope it's a good movie. I'll find out on Thursday.
