How the hell did we not have a thread for this yet? I came to post about their Animated Series Batman.

I'm intrigued, but the promo pics are so heavily Photoshopped that it's tough to tell what we're actually getting.

Generally, unless it's one of the Gomez or the Rumble Society figures that they let d_amazing photograph the prototypes of, they almost ALWAYS use WAY too much Photoshop in the solicitation pictures.

We had been discussing this figure after it went live in the general DCAU thread. But I’ll say my piece once again, I think the figure looks a little uncanny valley in terms of what a traditional BTAS Batman is supposed to look like but I don’t think that is necessarily a bad thing. If anything, it reminds me of the art style in the various video games and Batman Adventures Comics & the various spinoffs .

Well now I feel like a sap for going through the trouble of buying both versions of the McFarlane figure, kitbashing them together, and then selling the leftovers on eBay

No mention in more than 24 hours? How Mezco has fallen.

I think this is one of the better Gunn Superman figures to be revealed. I really like the angry red-eye head and the portrait below looks pretty spot-on to me.

I've been so hammered by preorder releases the past week or so I've been gunshy about ordering, but I might put an order in at BBTS or Entertainment Earth and see where I'm at in a year and a half. (Realistically speaking.) Actually, I just did a quick peek to see if he's still available and EE is the place to go — $116 and free shipping with no down payment.

I was thinking about how they have fallen. Locally, Mezco doesn't move on the aftermarket or command any sort of above retail value. Nobody I talk to at shows or meet ups even follows them anymore.

The last big deal was the TMNT. It feels like all the newer companies covering Batman and Turtles ate their lunch.
