Cover Girl Head swap

Has anyone done a head swap for their original Cover Girl figure? I'm tempted to try, but not quite sure how to get the barbell out of the head.

I know people recommend heating it up, but do I heat up the head separate from the body and use pliers, or heat up the head while it's on the body?

Did the barbell stay in the head when you tried to swap the first time? A lot of heads can be swapped without heat, but I had to break out the hair dryer for Cover Girl because I pulled the barbell out with the head.

well.....I kind of cheated

I got the barbell out of an alternate neck for the sniper figure (and may have destroyed that neck in the process), but got the barbell from one of those heads, and added some tac to the top to rest a widow head on it.

My alternate head was the blonde from the Hydra pack, and I just fit it on the neck and it stayed snug for the shelf.
