Chicken Fried Toys/Dime Novel Legends

CFT put out a KS update today and I want to give credit where it's due; the horse looks like it's going to be really well-engineered. It's a good design and if they nail the joint tolerances so it doesn't collapse on itself, it's going to be a great toy, I think.

But... it's really hard to ignore that updates about PRE-TOOLING are happening over a year after the Kickstarter ended. That, to me, is still a pretty massive pile of bullshit that CFT should be actively embarrassed and apologetic about. There doesn't even seem to be the tiniest shred of apologia involved in telling everyone they haven't even -started tooling- yet.

I had the same reaction of good/bad - it looks good what they showed, but bad this is the stage still. Also, no comment at all about the allocation process. Starting to wonder if these will even arrive during 2026.
 
Time for my bimonthly update that CFT appears to be no closer to fulfilling their last Kickstarter than they were when it closed 15 months ago. And 2 months since the last update...

Just wanted to give a very quick heads up that only one item remains before the KS Rewards & Allocation site can go live. We expect to have that completed by the weekend, and will likley begin testing on Monday to insure the process goes as intended. That will determine what day next week this site goes live to the public.

Please use the rewards site for your allocation to insure the same pricing used during the campaign. Also, the Backer only site will remain open and active all the way up until the items are all complete and here with us in the US. Yes, that means the pricing for Backers stays the same even if you want to go back and order more! We will try to combine orders and refund excess postage where we can, but no promises can be made to cover every situation.

If you have friends or fellow collectors who are interested and did not participate in the campaign, there is good news. Please let them know they will be able to place preorders for KS items once we have everything ready to go on the main site. Pricing is still at a discount, but not as low as it was during the campaign for Backers.

Horse 3D print models for paint masters are in transit to us and will arrive this week, then paint will begin. Once that process is underway, we will share some images to the public. That's it for this note, and there is nothing to do just this minute. Stay tuned and keep your eyes peeled this week, and watch for notes from us arriving in your email generated from the KS site.

I will be curious about the discounted rate for non-backers, given they have had my money tied up for 524 days...
 
Basically 2 years to get a fucking Backerkit PREORDER site running. Embarrassing.
